Matt is just as pumped as everyone else on the development of this. If there's info, he's usually stoked to share it and geek out with all of us. He shared the pic of the injectors unprovoked, why wouldn't he do the same when there was an actual update/data to talk about regarding them?

Relax. I'm not saying anything. We all need to relax and let it play out as it plays out. Like I said, Matt geeks out with this stuff too and he's always excited to share more info. I'm sure he'll be in soon with updates.

@OVTune so you know alot about the engine, that is amazing for sure....but is there anything you can say in regards to the transmission? I get asked that all the time from co workers and they think the trans is just ready to blow especially when youre pushing 500ft lbs!...Any input on this? Clearly that is built just as tough if it hasnt had issues!

My transmission hasn't even started slipping on 500 ft lbs. They aren't weak, but the shifting algorithm makes them feel like they are about to fall out at any moment.

The gearing ratios also aren’t the most logical for smooth driving. For mileage, yes. But for straight up responsiveness, not so much.

Sort of like the Cayman vs 911. The Cayman has an ‘unfavorable ratio’ mid pattern. The 911 has a much more favorable progression through the gears. It’s another method of separating the performance between the two even though the Cayman is the superior track platform. It’s just held back a bit by engine choice and various tuning choices.

So the Taco was tuned for a purpose (EPA) vs truck duty. Unfortunate.

I didn't realize how poorly geared the AT was in comparison to the MT. Even with 5.29 gears the AT 5th and 6th drive ratios are similar to the stock 4.30 MT 5th and 6th drive ratios. No wonder why the AT owners complain. With a little boost, I think the stock 4.30 in MT will work great. Curious to see which gear ratio works best for the AT under boost

yep the stock AT sucks. if I still had mine, I'd have definitely gone to 4.88s with my stock tires.

It's been a while since we've been fed some tasty nuggets of info on here. At this point, a picture of some intercooler tubing would probably make me...... well, I'll leave that to your imagination. :jerkoff:

He's stuffing the 5.7L v8 in his truck, I knew it.

That's the rumor I'm spreading anyway.
