Ha ha! I think I'm gonna pick these up. Wheeler's U bolt flip kit with Timbrens and some Duro bumps for the front.

They had this one on the showroom floor when we were getting Jeannie's 4R yesterday. It's a sharp looking car and the price isn't that bad considering.

I think you are just settling in to a old man life style. I just hope I don't see you in a sweater jacket and loafers

Placing order for wheels and tires tomorrow. Kept going back and forth on tire size and the discount tire guy probably doesn’t login on Sunday. Anyway 17x8 are available now and 17x9 have to order and be a few weeks. Going with 285/70/17 also. Was going to get 295/70/17 but read numerous places it’s going to basically kill the truck on highway.

Anyway what’s the value added in 17x9 vs 17x8 ? If there’s one thing that confuses me it’s definitely tires and wheels and aspect ratios. There’s also revs per mile noted on each tire size which I also don’t funny understand other than the obvious of how many times the tire turns to go a mile.

Super bumps, I know I get on the bumps because after a ride the metal is rubbed shiny. I hear people say they notice a big difference but I can't say I have ever noticed a difference. I have dropped off a lot of ledges and only remember hitting hard one time and that was because I hit my slider hard enough to put an egg sized dent in it. Even with the factory I never really noticed any hard hits. I went with the super bumps only because I needed taller bumps with the larger tires.

I didn’t get an invite to hale mountain, and I couldn’t make Stoney when you went. I do have a stupid amount of stuff going on right now though I haven’t even biked with Wes recently. Gotta get some stuff wrapped up then have some fun.

People run different width rims for a lot of different reasons. A wider rim will flatten out the tread and make the side walls shorter, giving more highway traction. Narrow rims will make the tire rounder side to side and make the tire look more ballooned out. I like the narrow rims offroad because it makes the sidewalls stick out further and help protect the wheel.

I'm lifting mine about 2.5-3" so I don't imagine I'll need any real tall bump stops, just about 3" taller than factory ones. I also don't want to limit my up travel when offroading either.

Thank you! Perfect example why I ask here than rest of site. You ask anything about tires in the third gen section all the 17 year olds come out with snappy comments that amount to nothing and about 3/4 saying search.

I'm going with 17x9 for the less backspace and negative offset I want it wide I think you'll like 285/70 less work to make um fit.

Bumps should never limit anything, the only reason to have them any taller is to stop the up travel before the tire rubs. Best thing to do is get the tire you want and stuff it until it rubs, measure the distance between the axle and frame and get bumps a little taller and you are good. You can use any bumps just make pedestals for them
