It may be worth a shot. It's been years, but, If I remember correctly, the BOEShield didn't protect my painted steel running boards for as long as I thought it should have. I bought the truck used and the underside of the running boards had surface rust on them. I washed them off with my pressure washer and coated them with the BOEShield. Insert northeast Illinois winter, The next spring, When I crawled underneath the truck to wash it, and the undersides of the running boards were actively rusting again. I don't remember what I put on next, but I didn't keep the truck much longer, so the data is lost.

No, I didn't do a side by side comparison with another product; no, I didn't take pictures, I know, forty lashes with a wet noodle. Would FF or CF3000 done any better? Who knows. I wasn't into doing DOEs (Design of Experiments) back in those days.

$546 sounds like a nice down payment

…you are dropping $546 but skimping on $40 of rope hooks? wtf

salvage lot probably does not want that much for them, if i can remove them (no stripped screws)
sand and paint them, dress up the back with different colors
    red, blue, quicksand, army green...

You are looking at a set of those wheels right? Is it a complete set?

i just wanna use my new impact tool, the lot is not a far distance away and just $2 entrance fee
also, i will need to disassemble the interior to find the squeak and wind rattle source on mine before i tear it apart behind there to make it stop :annoyed:
