    Random comment catch-up...

    That makes my brain hurt!

    Imperial forever!

I've been tempted by the Dominos...mainly for interior cabinetry... still using dowels... occasionally pocket holes when I'm lazy... or out of clamps...

But those tools are way too pricey for me to justify! :-(

Wood planing day... oh, so, tedious... drawer fronts should hopefully be glued up tomorrow...

Work has kept me out of the garage for the most part, but I've managed to get a few things done. I found a guy locally with a saw mill, throwing out a bunch of red cedar. Swapped him a 6 pack of Shiner for a truck bed full of it. I've managed to get a charcuterie board done, made a quick "tablesaw trivet", finished up a butcher block for the kitchen, a couple little trays, and some quick bookends.

Six drawer fronts for the master closet... Used older cherry for the bottom rails, but everything should eventually darken close enough...d1-20200213_141459.jpg

    Another set for another closet.

Added a couple pieces to the pile. Found a use for some black walnut scraps, and started on a red cedar cheese tray for a lady friend back home. 20200215_150805.jpg 20200215_185422.jpg

Was reorganizing the shop and realized I may have an excess of tapes. This does not include my garage or truck. Or anything over 30 feet. Thoughts?5D18AB5D-82B7-43CC-AD4B-633A902A0AB7.jpgyellow tape was from a period I was helping a lot of friends with home improvements

I probably have 8 or 9 in my small shop. One will be clipped to me, and I somehow always forget it’s there then grab another one. By the end of a project I’ll end up having one on every work surface.

They say you should use the same measuring device for the entire project. Something about the tapes not being marked exactly the same... :p

The black walnut, or the cedar? I know black walnut fruit is bad for dogs, and the shavings/dust for horses. But I hadn't heard anything about it being bad for humans.

Very true...I only use one for my projects. I will check my table saw to that tape measure occasionally...especially when I drop the damn thing.
