Yea for me It took a little bit for the tpms to catch up to their new position. I’m always pretty paranoid the dealership doesn’t do _any_ of the basic work. My wheels are chipped from the trails so on the bright side I visually concluded they certainly did rotate my tires after my initial “wtf those a-holes”.

Certainly not trying to be a “Karen” but if someone says they’re going to do a service to my truck then they should do it. Pretty basic principle in my opinion.

Oddly enough, when I get bad service and let the service advisor know of my thoughts, a survey never comes.

I used to only get one when they knew I was happy. Coincidence? No, just another reason to avoid them.

If it’s worth your time to complain about and follow through, give it a shot. You have a clear expectation of what you are trying to achieve and have decided it’s worth the effort- more power to you.

I let my dealership do the first complimentary oil change and whoever did the job didn’t replace one of the four bolts holding the front skid plate.

I do my own maintenance anyway, so no big deal not getting the second complimentary oil change- the dealership did inspect the rear differential (no weeping) and replaced the CPS under the recall without any problems, fwiw.

I'm sure they threw away ethics a long time ago.

Quite a reasonable expectation. I know if I cut corners like that on my job, I wouldn't be employed.

There is NO money (well very little Toyota funds anyway) in this work for the dealer and many of them will take the short cuts and wait for you to find them and complain. I suggest that if you get your oil changed there, verify they actually change the filter. Many times, they just drain and refill. Happened to me. As has been mentioned above, do it yourself or find a honest independent shop. You can yell, scream, complain, and write letters but nothing will change with your dealer. Just move on.

Chalk and photograph your front tires prior to service. Video tape yourself chalking your tires

That's a little overboard. I use white paint, dabble do ya on the tire straight across from the valve stem up against the wheel. Only do 2, front or back

Wait... 15k? Wouldn't the slow leak be a warranty issue all in itself? Assuming stock tires.

Depends on the cause of the leak, and if the customer purchased the tire and wheel protection plan.

don’t ever do this. It’s not the service writers fault, don’t take food out of his mouth.

I'm 76 years old and NEVER let a dealer or tire store rotate my tires (Lexus/Tacoma). Several years ago I bought a couple of 3-ton jacks from Harbor Freight and the correct deep-well sockets to exactly fit the lugs. By using the two jacks I can lift the vehicle(s) just enough to easily remove/replace the rims. I can rotate the tires (front-rear/vice-versa) faster than I can wait for a dealer or tire store to do it. Plus, I'm able to check the weights and wipe off any crap that is on the inside of the rim. Another reason is the dealer/tire store uses an air gun and no telling what the setting is...usually good for rounded lug nuts.
