Forget where and why I've seen that setup you just posted.

Oh and as far as fishing goes? I never tried; would rather go with someone who knows what they're doing. :boink:

There was some downside to using Chevy springs I remember reading about but I forget what it was. I'll see what Alcan quotes me and if it's crazy high I'll consider it

Hmm..when you do just tag me?

I've only read favorable things, combined with some 10" or 12" rear shocks and you've got travel for days.

Well I'm considering it until you change my mind otherwise.

The work is less involved than say, my sliders, so I'd definitely hit up Sergio to help me do a relocate.

That I could do, assuming shipping isn't half that on top of the quote

I think I would need a little more than 200# over stock capacity though. The tail gate swing out isn't exactly lightweight and when I do have my RTT and camping gear back there that's another 300# easily. Thing is though I don't want them to make me some 600# springs that are going to be stiff AF when I'm driving around town 90% of the time. I dunno I'll talk to them about it and see what they suggest

Mine are super stiff unloaded, when I get some made for the 02 I’ll probably do 300# assuming it’ll be a full time hunting truck with a flatbed and shit.

you can always pop a leaf out though.

Go ask In The other thread

I’m sure Chevy springs have their place, mostly in the go fast realm of off-road though, could be wrong.

CV axles I get, but leaf springs?

I've done several but that's only cause I helped other members.

Fuck I wish I had the time to learn how to weld...

yeah, first were the Dakars, then taking them out to reinstall with AALs, then taking those out to install Expos.

hence why I would rather buy proven quality custom springs this time around to avoid another headache
