Purchased a small section of 6” PVC pipe and mounted it to the base of my 5lb Manchester propane tank. Elevates it to the perfect height for the Quick Fist ratchet clamp.

You can utilize one of the factory bed torx when mounting in this location, and easily drill the second and access nut/bolt with the AC plug removed. Ratchet clamp doesn’t get in way of AC plug at all.

Cool. I stand corrected. I wonder if he could move the switch pro further to the left so you can see one more pair of switches before you have to look around the steering wheel. @MESO

Not today, but over the weekend I installed me some apple car play. I decided to go with the BeatSonic adapter and for the most part I love it.

Nope. I wanted to go with an Alpine head unit, but I can't stomach the price of the Halo9 and I hate the look of trim rings, so my only option was to mod the stock head unit.

If you don’t mind, make sure to report back after you’ve used for a few days!

Installed on Saturday morning, so I've been using it for about 2.5 days so far. Did a write up on it: https://empyreoffroad.com/blogs/res...pple-carplay-integration-for-2016-2019-models

The two things I don't love are:
    • The quality of the picture on the screen is just okay. It's definitely not crisp and clear.
    • You cannot trigger Siri through the steering wheel controls.

One of the things I saw on Tacomaworld along time ago.

The bucket that sits in the empty square in front of the cup holder!

    And After:

    Matching Blazing Blue Pearl

No more rattling coins in the drivers side door handle!

So I’m fairly certain the empty plug is suppose to have the satellite radio connection since XM radio and GPS isn’t working now but for the life of me I can’t find the plug
