I’ll check the HD one. I was looking in to the Memphis brand ones but they are pricey. They want like $250 for the fairing, then $150 for mounting hardware, another $30 for the headlight extender, and then another $150 for the actual windshield.

when you say you noticed the difference, you mean it took the wind off you a lot?

Yeah it made riding longer distances at freeway speeds more enjoyable. You always expect the wind buffeting but the fairing reduced it a lot. It’ll help a lot with your taller frame too.

Memphis makes good ones that are cheaper that HD but still pricey IMO. That’s why I went full cheapo and got the knock off and made my own mounts.

Cool. A fairing is definitely up there on my list of mods to do. That, mufflers, and seat are probably my first 3 I want to get done. You still got the designs saved for your brackets to make a set for me?

I’m at the office so no. Tracking shows that it’s out for delivery though. So it should be waiting for me when I get home. I’ll be doing it tonight and then taking it to ups tomorrow at lunch to return. May just say fuck it and spend the $20 for overnight shipping so I can take the bike for a ride this weekend!

Haha. I could if you want. Hell, if anything I can send you the links for what I bought and can build you a set exactly the same. I forget the total I have into the fairing but it’s a lot less than what it would’ve cost if I bought everything as bolt-ons. Once your bike comes in we’ll get together for a scoot and you can see for yourself.
I was looking at the saddleman seat but everyone has that so it just seems so boring to me. Haha.

I’ll take a look at your bike some time and then see what I wanna do haha.
ya the saddlemans are quite popular but I think it fits my tall ass really good. The HB dealer had a custom street bob with the saddleman stepup that felt really good. I’ll probably go to the OC HD and test some out there. But I think saddleman is probably my best bet for my height. I’ll need to see if I want to do forward controls on it or not too. I just can’t wait to get it in!

For my height, the forward-mids that came on the bike stock are more of a natural seating position and really comfortable. I expected to swap to forward controls too but ended up keeping them stock after riding for a while and liking the stock setup. I think if I did a road trip the forwards would be more comfortable to stretch out since I’m usually riding less than a couple hours and am constantly shifting it’s easier in the neutral position. I’ve been contemplating getting or making a crash bar that can double as freeway pegs. I don’t really like the offering on the market because they stick out too far IMO and don’t look good for a stripped down aesthetic.

Ya I’ll see how the stock ones feel. I was thinking about maybe doing a crash bar as well so once I am highway cruising I can at least stretch out.

UPS delivered 2 of my jackets and my paperwork! I wish I could leave work now to go fill them out and return them to UPS tonight

Which jackets did you order? I was thinking of getting a new one. I have one that I never quite liked so I never wore it. It might fit you actually.

Thats a wr motor. It does have the kickstarter but the lever isnt installed. Probably carb. Easy to tell because of how the exhaust exits the head. The wr is the better motor for any street duty anyways

What is the benefit of having a front swing arm like that red 1? Looks like it belongs on a sand car
