Am I posting too many informations?

I always make sure to strip the location tag from my photos, so I think we're safe unless one of these influencer ass-clowns learns how to read someday, in which case we're really fucked.

That depends on how much you like the places you are posting about.

I think that there are too many channels for this type of info to be broadcast on, and I also think that there are too many people.
I don't see reductions in park visitation/outdoor recreation occurring in our future.

The only channel you'll find me on is 15x.xxx. If you ever do stumble across it do me a favor and get the hell off the channel. lol

Nothing is secret anymore. Almost all the spots are out. I've still got a few where I can go and find solitude when needed but it's only a matter of time. Yesterday I did 40 miles of dirt and saw 4 woman on horses and one Can Am. Usually I do that loop and see nobody. lol

I'm just gonna have to follow you and see where you are going. Then I can tell all my friends on Social Media! (all two of them:D).

You could do a 40 mile loop from your place in any direction and see just a handful of people!

The racetrack on a winter holiday weekend was a shit show. Here's the big attraction at the main area: a perfectly preserved set of entitled asshole prints!

    VideoCapture_20200217-172037.jpg

And at the other end of the lake, there were more middle aged white men with DSLRs than actual rocks. Not going to lie, I wish I had a real camera too. I'd have queued up for my own 800 megapixels of redundant self fulfillment.

The parking lot was so full of The Jeep Lifestyle, I had no choice but to park my lifted raptor six hundred feet off the road--it was literally the only place I could find enough desert tortoises to stack to max out my flex for my gram pose. Lol, I had to do sick donuts for like 2 hours just to get all the turtle guts out of my aggressive tire tread.

    It's a #hashtag thing, but I'm yolo as af.

Every direction but south. South puts me on the canal roads. Lots of folks use those and I get dirty looks from the joggers when I use those. Something about 35's and dust I guess. But for the most part I'm 3 miles from dirt for days. A few weeks back I found a road I've never been on before. After about 8 miles of whoops I realized I'd never be on it again. lol

    Check the Silver PM.

Who the hell jogs, anyways. I've been tooling around between Big Pine and Lone Pine over the last 2-3 months and have found roads I never knew existed. It's crazy!

GIS mapping has 1200 miles of dirt in Inyo. That's only counting the legal ones. The recently(2015) closed trails made up another 200 or so.

Sadly, I don't go to those places any more. Too many people. And while it is only a small percentage who act like complete assholes, one is more than I can tolerate.

The FS plan was actually a good one. They GIS mapped the trails and closed any connector trials that where redundant. There's one they closed that pissed me off because it was the only really hard trail in that area. AFAIK, it was the original trail. It got washed and rutted out so a bypass was created about 1/4 mile away. That bypass is what was left open and the OG trail was closed. I already talked to the FS about it. I can't say publicly what they told me. lol

I am aware of a few roads that are closed that block access to areas that I used to prospect. Two or three of those roads were intentionally blocked with rocks and replanted sage (which promptly died) as a means of securing formal closure. My understanding is a group of Greenies (locals) use this tactic to get roads closed. And some of the closures don't make a bit of sense.

    Just the basics
I was up near Mono Lake a couple years ago and found a bunch of dead sage etc and rocks closing off an area. It was at the end of a road to a trailhead. I found some old photos of the area and it was a group campsite. I'm pretty sure it was a hugger group who closed it on their own.

Tree huggers. I truly care about the environment but I don't support closing access to areas unless it is truly necessary. There are groups out there who want all roads closed.

Dont worry guys, with enough shares and likes, we can get the rest of these routes closed for good!

But seriously, I believe/hope we're on the cusp of a technological solution to the problem, and the profound question is whether or not we can transition into this new age without forfeiting any more of our innate American liberties.

It won't happen in today's political climate, but I'm holding out hope that the American Spirit will persevere in the face of 21st century technology, resulting in a new age of liberty for the 99.99% of us that aren't destructive fuckheads, and a new world of hurt for the 0.01% that have been trashing our public lands unchecked for decades.

The downside of this this vision is that we'll probably also have to stop speeding and lying to grandma about going to church, because Big Grandma will always know how we got over the river and through the woods.

Sure, this vision for the future is probably as hollow as the promise of communism, and even if it survives initial scrutiny and litigation, relentless waves of illiterate tree-huggers will somehow ruin it anyway.

But I'd die a happy death in the gulag so long as I knew that every single ass-hole who littered or did donuts on the racetrack playa got capped before I did. Beyond that, my fate in hell would be long overdue, for that time I tore the tag off my mattress in '94.

I think perhaps folks worry too much about tires here, though I’ll admit I haven’t done as many off-pavement miles, not as tough, as many folks here, and I have usually had stock suspension so I keep speeds down. But I have been licensed to drive for almost 50 years and have had a few flats, more on pavement than off, and most of them have been from man-made road debris like a screwdriver, or long deck screws. And the worst sidewall rock cut was with an LT tire. I did have one rock cut with my OEM P Metric Goodyear Adventures but it was on a very mild gravel road, and the Les Schwab tire tech who plugged it for me when I got back to the nearest town said it could have happened with a heavier duty tire ... he sees them all. I always carry a good spare, plug kit and compressor. Take it easy and have fun. And, yes, when my GY’s wore out (after several DV trips, Moab, etc) I switched to E rated BFG’s, though I sometimes regret the weight. But no flats yet ...
