Day 2 down, 4x12 each weight exercise, shoulder press didn’t feel right even at just 20 lbs, my left arm started tingling from the wrist towards the elbow, I think there’s a nerve or pressure point in my palm that I was hitting. I tried both hand positions on the machine (one was parallel and one was about 50* out and angled horizontally slightly) and the parallel position was worse than the other.

Whoop whoop! Weighed this AM and I’m down 3.2lbs to 294 even, excited to see progress on the scale as well as physical progress.
I’m also pretty proud of this.

Do you have set weights prescribed in your workout plan? 4x12 @ 20lbs today, 25lbs next week, etc? Or do you do RPE or to failure/near-failure, and such?

No set weights, this being my first week with a planner he said to do everything in 4 sets of 12 and adjust weight as needed so I set the weights to be comfortable but still be work.
If I can’t do 12 reps in the set either drop weight or (what I did) go until it’s too hard, rest, and repeat until you hit 48 reps total.

Sounds like a scammed version of the real shit. Karbolyn fuel by EFX. No experience with the 'xr3' but, with the real shit from EFX ... that's my absolute must supplement. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Swat tryouts tomorrow. 1mile sub 8min, 40 pushups, sit-ups, and 4 dead hang pull-ups. These are all bare minimums and there’s a ton of calisthenic studs trying out. Past 8 months of powerlifting might have set me back a step. Time to get some.

Cardio again tonight, rest day tomorrow.
Increased the incline on the treadmill today, 2.5 instead of 1.0, walk speed varied from 3.0-3.8 and then I sprinted twice at 6.9 and 7.1 but had the incline reduced to 1.0.
Stair machine was at level 4 for the first 5 and then level 5 for the last 5.

I see. Sounds good. When I resumed/restarted it was with 3x12 and most sets near failure, last one to failure. Got good results for about 6 mos. with that.

I was just going to say I'd prob back off a touch on the weights due to the tingling or do a different variation to avoid upsetting stuff.

Yeah, I wasn’t a fan of the tingling but didn’t want to just give up. I’ll talk to the trainer about it and see what’s up, I’ll also look into variations.

I’m going to refrain from shoulder press since it causes the tingling, the other weights are fine.

I mean, the other side is not going easy either. There's always a way. Maybe a stretch first. Maybe more warmup or a variation. Most times I wouldn't give up either.

Tired of hearing about all this planted based diet crap.

    Fine. I’ll bite.
I’ll consider it for lent. Why not?

    Cals: 2500
    Protein: 110g
    Fats: 120g
    Carbs: 320g :bananadead:

I will have to have everything preprepared ahead of time and all my macros and everything planned.

This will be a challenge as I try to avoid soy (no tofu), gluten (no seitan) and processed foods. I’m trying to figure what I’m going to eat and honestly... I am already starving to death thinking about it LOL. Its pure veggies. I’ll need to keep the fats up. Maybe take EVOO shots and eat lots of avocados lol
Curious if I’ll have to supplement with protein powders.

Does anyone make lentils or quinoa in their IP or rice maker?

If you guys wanted to see a lifter try out this diet and provide feedback what kinds of things would you want to see them do or not do?

Like I’m almost thinking I need to wait until I can actually go back to my normal routine and be running and lower body lifting, but that means I won’t do it till January because I’m not doing vegan and keto to train for my ultra (Oct).

    Thoughts or give a fucks?

Disclaimer: I will stop it though if my BP starts getting out of control.
My BP prior to surgery was 139/100.

Can't help with the rest, but I just make quinoa in a pan on the stove top. Same way as rice.

Is it easier than making rice?
I avoid rice on the stovetop because it always boils over everywhere lol

Same, my wife can't do it either, but for me it's not a problem. What I do is add a bit more water than what it asks for, bring the water to a boil, add the rice/quinoa, reduce heat to minimum, cover it tight, set timer, don't open until timer goes off. Key is to keep heat to a minimum, it doesn't have to continue boiling, but does need to stay hot. Also, what I see is a few minutes in, it will start to release a bit of steam through the pan top, but not much and not boiling hard. A lot of words....
