The red baggy that came with your remote starter kit previously, find it. You did get one. You don't get it with the smart module.

Bummer... Didn’t know that when I ordered. I’ve had the start x remote starter installed for about 8 months. If i had one that’s long gone... I'm pretty good at keeping random stuff like that around and searched but not seeing it anywhere. I did reach out to verify it was all compatible before ordering but did not get that info, I was told this starter unit may need a flash however.

I tried to hook up the unit after searching around google and was able to use a screw driver in place of the "valet button". The remote starter seemed to pair with the smart phone module and got through the app, but now nothing works even after I now removed the smart phone module its not starting with 3x fob presses anymore, the yellow turn signal indicator lights just flash 3 times after and nothing happens. The little red light is stuck on on the remote starter. after further research I found out that this means its in valet mode. after getting it back out of valet mode everything now works as intended. took quite a while but it seems to be working through the fob and through the app!

How did you try programming it anyways without the valet button? I did not know you didn't get the remote starter from us when responding earlier, so I apologize as I assumed you did , and so you would have been sent a valet button for sure in our remote start package (we don't send them with the smart module. Most folks plug it in and leave it dangling. However, 8 months is 8 months regardless of who you got it from, and things get lost, but we get it, so let's just get you moving forward. Email your order number (Attn Jimmy, the email is in my signature below) and I'll have one sent out. Please do not PM it, as sometimes a whole work day can consume my availability to check messages on here.

As far as your remote start:

Try disconnecting the smart module and set it aside, then disconnect the big 6-pin white thick-wire connector going into your remote start and then put it back in after about a minute. Do not re-program yet, just test right away with fob.
If it still doesn't work, re-program the module as if you just unboxed it, do not try any reset procedures prior.
If it still doesn't work, the module might just need to be reset, but that's done with the valet button, you'll have to wait until ours gets to you.

Is the little red light under the yellow jumper loop that comes out of the remote start module (This is NOT the same as the RED LED that's a part of the 3-set LEDS on the face of the module where the RED, AMBER, BLUE are located. This one is almost pencil tip-sized):
ON while the car is off?
What about when the car is on?

Thank you for the responses last night Jimmy, I was able to get it working. looks like i made my final edit to my post just before you responded.

basically after googling some info about the fortin remote starter, I saw fortin telling people that they could use a screw driver to tap both pins or a paper clip. while it wasn't as easy as the valet button, they stated that's all that it is doing inside that button so i gave it a shot. what happened was that i had accidentally put my fortin into valet mode and that's why the red led was staying solid. I finally figured this out after at the very end. i was able to put the fortin into pairing mode and pair the smart phone module all with the screw driver after many attempts but got it to work and got it out of valet mode. all is working now and stoked that the unit is all working properly.

And if you did, we'd still fix it. That's how we roll...

Did some searching and googling. Couldn’t find an answer. Just had some strange alert on my phone. Sounded like an amber alert going off. It was linkr lt pop up and opened up the app. But everything looked normal. IPhone X ios 13.3

Does this happen from time to time? What type of alert is this?
I found some info online about linkr omega app alerts but not linkr LT

It happens to some randomly. Go to your PHONE'S APP NOTIFICATION SETTINGS (not within the app itself) and disable all notifications FOR the app. You don't need to worry about missing out on any notifications from this app as it has none. That should solve it.

Should the yellow/red wire that is run to the passenger side be connected to the other end of the pink wire you cut? I assume this is correct but it’s not covered in the installation guide. Thanks

After getting rained out for the past couple weeks finally got time to work this out with Jimmy. He had me up and running within 30 minutes. You can't beat the service you get with purchasing this product. 10/10

Great!! Quick question, the site says that the remote start will turn off when the door opens? Does this mean I'll have to start my car again when I get in it?

Yes. This is a Toyota/Lexus engineered thing for all their Push to Start ignitions. No one, NOT ANY 3rd party after market remote start or even Toyota's OEM one on the 2020 stay running. You will have to re-start the vehicle. But weren't you anyways with the remote start? Except now you get to go into a toasty or cool vehicle when you do.
