This!! I moved home for 1 month after school. I was working the afternoon shift at a place 45 miles one way away and it still sucked having to be at home. Got a roommate and moved out ASAP.
And this, after moving out of my parents house and moved 50miles away, I went home or to friends houses to wrench. I assembled my crawl box in my living room at my apartment and swapped it at my parents in a weekend with my gf, now wife, helping me.

Hey a fellow license plate craftsman!! I have one being used a heat shield for my steering box as it's like a 1/2" from the exhaust and another one to keep my tires from launching shit into my air intake.

1.0 got a 8 out of 10 for effectiveness. I'll find out about 2.0 in a month when I go wheeling next.

I dunno who prys em, I have a puller for this shit, and it came right off super easy with the puller. Another gear is on the way, no biggie, don't really care about
the monetary cost, i'm just bummed I can't drive it right now :/ Ended up using Amazon even though it was more than all the Toyota parts sites haha

It didn't seem all that odd to me, it has threaded holes in it for that exact reason. I've done too many timing belts where those things were seized right the fuck on, had to actually dremel it and crack it off my 300zx (no it wasn't press fit). So I was pretty pleased how little puller force was needed, didn't seem unusual for something I'd wager has been in the same place collecting grime and corrosion for 23 years. Was definitely the easiest timing gear I've ever removed, not sure why the last guy tried to pry it, it's clear he wasn't successful since the front main and oil pump was OEM and there's no other reason to remove the gear.

Yeah up to 2003 gooped pump is the old design, mine was. I have changed everything, but I can't finish the darn thing until that gear comes in. So instead I took every bracket and cover that came off during the job and cleaned it in the old shop sink, so now it'll be sparkly clean at least. Can't do much else right now. I just hope the water pump doesnt leak, that gasket is an interesting design.

    I wouldn’t mind a 200 series. Even settle for a 100 series

Yup, they work good! I have a surplus of them at work. Figured I may as well use one to deal with the leak
