upon washing my truck tonight I also discovered that there is a big enough gap between the fender flare and fender to stick my finger in there. Guess Ima have to try and take the wheel well out and try and bang it out :notsure:

man that sucks, is it cracked or did the seal just separate? i thought i heard something which is why i came over as you were pulling back down the hill, but i didn't notice anything wrong with your truck so i figured you had just run over a thick branch and snapped it or something.

when i was coming back down the hill and when you walked over is when i just scrapped some paint off the lower corner of the bumper, and a little spot on the foglight hole. I am not sure where the damage on the door/fender came from, it is a dent, which seperated the seal where the small fender flare and main fender meet, the only thing i can think happened is that i had ran over a small log or stick and it broke and got kicked up, i do remember hearing somthing hit against the side of my truck in that area but shrugged and kept rollin. I guess you cant really expect NOT to mess somthing up when your driving a truck though a narrow trail in the woods haha im just bitter because its the first one!

stephen - yes i work at potomac mills everyday haha but around that time...i think my gf had just scooped it my truck to take it to get the oil changed. what HS do you go to?

i know what you mean. you probably didn't get to see but i have some serious scrapage on the front and rear fender flares on my passenger side. my truck is riddled with minor surface scratches and blemishes from the tree branches and such. like you said, the first is always the worst and then after that it just adds character. one of the prices you pay for offroading in VA i guess. hope you are able to fix the fender flare gap.

i'm surprised neither of us got any damage in that one area where we had to bypass the mud puddles and weave in and out of those tight trees. thats my second time going through there and it wasn't any easier, especially with the manual transmission.

yeah at first i was pretty mad about it but then i came to the realization of where we just drove and thats ALL the happened haha your right weaving through those trees was rough, a couple times i just took a deep breath and slowly rolled forward praying i judged it right haha, i bet it was a pain doing it manual, i cant imagine!

namyo - you wouldnt need pictures if you would have came, you could have experienced it first hand

stephen - if it was white, had 4 doors, tinted windows and black emblems then yes it was me haha. okay i see, i went to Brooke Point

haha! i guess we will just have to plan a wheelin meet sometime to make up for his absence.

jeremy i was just reading through your build thread again, what local 4x4 shop were you referring to that specializes in toyotas? and your lift is OME correct? duno if you stated that in your build thread or id i overlooked it

yes the lift is OME with the spacer up front and 885 coil springs. the shop i was referring to is iron pig offroad in fredericksburg but after dealing with them i don't recommend it. i waited like 3 weeks to get an alignment done there because they said they didn't have any appointments. the only reason i was even willing to wait is because someone had recommended them to me for any work i needed done, so figured it was worth the wait. then after i finally got it done and picked up the truck the camber was still way off and it was pulling to the left. i called the place back and they told me i had to bring it to some other place in downtown fburg because they use an outside shop for all their alignment work. it would have been nice to know that from the beginning because for $125 for just a front end alignment i would have just had the dealership do it.
