    I went and bought this cap today. He had already sold the toolboxes to somebody else so he let me have the cap for $150! I feel like i practically stole it at that price.

    Super nice guy/family. His dad had bought a truck with the cap already on it but he used his truck more for yard products like mulch and dirt and such and found it inconvenient to have the cap and toolboxes, so off they went. He was really careful to make sure I had a tacoma because apparently a few others had met up with him to look that had various other model trucks that it wouldn't fit.

    It's a nice cap! A few little blemishes here or there in the gel coat but nothing serious at all. It weighs about a metric fuck ton compared to the ill fitting gen 1 cap I had on my 2nd gen truck. I think the fiberglass might be double the thickness. The carpet on the inside could use a cleaning and I'll have to find keys for it by the lock code. The seals all seem really good. I might not even color match it to the truck. The truck is black and the white cap gives it a sort of covered wagon look. I dunno, i'll run it as is a while and see if I change my mind.

    It will take some getting used to not having glass windows but with side views and the reverse camera it's not a big deal. I love the side doors and the shelf/toolbox it has on either side, very nice!

    Anyway thanks for those that keep this thread alive!
