Thank you! Honestly, I think I have looked so much until I’m dizzy. I was set on Springfield Armory, then went to Dan Wesson, back to SA, and also looked at the Sig. I like the more classic looking ones such as the Dan Wesson A2 but just need to put hands on some.

That is how I felt when I decided to shop for a 1911. I was set on Kimber then went Sig Sauer, STI etc...I was looking for very specific options and very few met all those criteria’s. When I did settle, I was very happy.
If you like that classic look, you should have a good amount of options. Good luck with the search.

    The Springfields are excellent guns

A well cared for used 1911 would be an good choice as well.

    Are those factory grips

How well do you like the finger grooves?
Just had my G19 (gen 3) stippled and the finger grooves removed cause they didn't fit my bear paws very well.

On a side note, I changed the factory grips on my Kimbers, the Pro Carry II, I actually added a piece of grip tape to the front of the magazine well. Works great.

I had to change out the grips on it since I have HUGE hands and the checkering on the front strap was not aggressive enough to keep a solid grip. I change out most of the grips with VZ operators knock done the points on the grips with some sandpaper.

So as you may have caught, I shoot the 1911 very well, as opposed to say the Glock platform.

I shot a buddy's 2011 and fell in love since it fights my bear paws very well. This will be a competition pistol so I can increase my performance.

This was a good day but I give credit to the gun on this...this was at a shoot in Indiana a few yrs I think it was but not me. I got close with the Nighthawk awhile back,

My right hand was shattered in a accident many yrs ago that limits my range of motion.
