MQQSE and Stitch's Shack + Sumbitch

Almost forgot to post: picked up this little air compressor for Stitch to facilitate airing back up when I get back to the road after trips to the mountain...friend at work recommended it to me. Still plugs in the cig lighter outlet (what's the pc name for that these days?)?and not clamps to battery. Stout little unit that I tested yesterday and it brought the tire from 20psi to 32psi in about 1 min. Analog gauge is accurate too, verified with my big airline gauge. Finally I like the ammo can case; I've had the cheaper plastic case models...case always ends up busted and the capable volume takes an eternity to inflate a tire with them. Overall, my friend steered me right by first impressions and it's worth the $121 (military discount price out the door).

Picked up kinda the same. Plugged ‘er in for one fill up & it worked like a champ. Then I almost burnt the shit outta my fingers pullin’ it out. Lopped off the cig. part, added some wire, fuse & alligator clips to go right off the battery. No more problems.

 

Noted. Thanks Eddie. I'll be cautious and check for that Saturday when I come out and air back up all four tires. Had in the back of my mind pondering changing it to alligator clips. Might even have set here from an old batt charger that died.

 

Yeah, that’s where the extra wire came from. Like to repurpose & only two connections to make.

 

Yeah, seeing that compressor inside a can, makes me think of the heat buildup in there cant be good for it. If there was a way to add a computer style muffin fan to the compressor head end of the can to add forced air cooling that would be good for improved reliability and life

Another great couple days on the mountain and off grid.
We chained up this time because of reported drifts on the trail. Got in and out again with no issues (i.e. no digging or winching). Still very impressed with the capabilities ATRAC and the locker give this truck, despite the rather small 245/75/16 Bizzaks I'm currently running for Winter.
It was also beautiful weather, although a little windy. Came out with tractor and trailer to get more hay for the cows. Worked on a snowmachine some. Fed the critters...and most importantly, relaxed.

Awesome!!! I didn't know the air compressor went into the cig lighter. Mine has alligator clips.... The Jeep has ARB, the new taco I'll be installing one as well

 

We gotta talk mods soon. Plan/hope to order my bumper and winch Monday.
