Dude....Did I say brain numbing? DOH! I didn't even notice the top pic was from SpeySquatch.....my bad dude..... so yeah, the 4ply Falken's are 60,000 mile warrantied tires it appears. The E load range in the same tire is 55,000 guarantee..... I need to stop comparing every freaking tire on the planet and trying to convince myself that I somehow "need" E rated tires. I don't tow, rock crawl or drive down the faces of volcano's, so there really is no need for a heavier/stiffer tire.....

Sorry to cluster fuck the thread with my mindlessness...... I do this spastic search every time I am ready to spend more than about $100.00.... For some reason, I think that if I just keep going round and round in circles, the internet gods will grace me with a deal that nobody else was able to uncover..... At the end of the day, I wasted 4 hours and didn't save a dime......Bane of my existence is my own mania......9 times outta 10.

Lol. That’s my next tire for my 17” wheels in 255/75/17. I literally got to see them today. They have great tread.

Dude, the ride on E rated is HARSH, weigh a lot more, and will eat your mpgs. E-rated is REALLY unnecessary unless you plan on some seriously gnarly sharp aggressive terrain. 245 & 255 is considered skinny, but I disagree for 255’s. My buddy runs 265/70/17 on his full size Chevy they look fine. 255/75/17 is an exact 32” tire and seems ideal for these trucks in looks and function and is only .4-.5” less in width. Just depends on your intent (function or form) and if you like mpgs.

I like skinnies for both reasons function and form. Unfortunately I will be moving so my origional tires I was looking at are now called into question. I too agree E rated is not neccessary for most people. Any 255 I've found is e but I saw a few 32 in c, I think I found one d, and sl.

I agree they look good. I was more poking fun at the 285 guys lol.

These are both 255/75/17 4-ply SL rated, check em out

Yeah I have heard good things about both! I don't know about how they will handle georgia though. I'm assuming since Georgia is 99% red clay and sucks I may need an actual mud terrain. I like the coopers alot though

Check out the Yokohama Geolander MT G003 too. They are supposed to be awesome as well and ride great on the highway - quiet for MTs. They are a C-load

If I was to get MTs. Those would be the ones. I really like Yokohama’s. They balance well on tacomas and are made in Japan. The Japanese make great tires

I have experience with em for 3 deployments. Only ever found them in E rated though. E for me is overkill unless something I find pushes it and even then Discount will replace.

On the geolanders working well in mud though they went through some soupy offcamber hills and did great. Cleared mud okay but it was super thick. No experience on a highway with em but it was also on a land cruiser 79 so that was pretty sweet. I didn't even find this in c rated. Might have had my mind wrapped around AT's too much until recently, and I DEFINITELY had my head wrapped around skinny 33's and only checked 32's once the other day after seeing st pro in the same size

    You’re in GA now?

There really aren’t many tires out there that can handle the clay down here, other than a dedicated MT. Some of the hybrids, ST Maxx/Ridge Grappler, do ok. But only to a point. With that being said, that notorious clay really isn’t everywhere. Depending on where you’ll be and what you’re doing, an AT or Hybrid may work for you.

Just checked what was on my 2018 SR5 stock from the factory, and it was a 245/75 R16. Turns out I was already running a "skinny" tire from the factory. Interesting... Well I'm staying with the same tire width so I guess thats cool.

    This and that...
Was about to pull the trigger on a set of Duratracs same size. Was sold on the coopers but some recent reviews of both and switched to Duratracs, still have a 50,000 warranty for whatever it's worth. Anyway, same price as the coopers right now and $100 rebate.

Yep. So going from 245/75 R16 to 245/75 R17. Even though the numbers look so similar... new tire is going to be an inch taller.

    Nitro 4.88 gears OME suspension ST/Maxx 255/85R16s
I'm sold on skinnies and just did a post into the suspension thread about the 2" OME lift I'm planning to install on my 2020 TRD-OR to accommodate 255/85R16 tires. That said, I'd like to get onto 33s and sell my 265/75R16s as soon as possible to better accommodate my 4.88 gears. I could get the skinny tires installed this Friday but it'll be 2-3 weeks until I can install my suspension upgrade. I'm reading enough about these fitting stock suspension that I'm wondering....

Should I calm down and wait to install the tires until after the lift?
    or
Should I install the tires NOW and lift in 2-3 weeks?

Also, I don't have any big wheeling plans until skids and sliders are installed, which are still a few weeks out.
