ive been trying to get dayton to get a snorkel on his jlu but he dont want to be snorkel buddies lol

 

Yeh I have mine on order. I'm not sure when I will install it.

Yeh I have done a few on much nicer more expensive brand new tacomas and Rams, but this one scares me the most.

Cause this time it's my truck. But Matt has done a bunch as well (I've done them with him) so I will likely do it with him.

What psi do you run when driving around town on snowy road like that?

 

I run 22psi in warmer weather, driving around in the winter I drop it maybe to 20-18psi for highway use.

 

It's been done, Burt official has a dorkelfide and as well as having a wiring clean up.

Went out and got some more photos today and explored a few roads to check how snow packed they are with the recent melt out.

 

Good weekend of riding dirt bikes in Moab.

Even towed a trailer with both bikes backs to gunnison. Which I can say I did it but Burt wasn't the worst tow rig possible. But had zero extra power. Driving to Moab I got 21mpg because we were pushing hard and going 75-80 which is 2700rpm and kills mileage. And 16 towing the 250 miles back into the Rockies.

 

Just a quick couple of things on Burt. Been buttery with school lately but now that I have online classes for the rest of the semester I have returned to the front range and have my tools and tons of time to work on things.
I swapped out a Blue Sea 12v outlet for a Voltmeter.
I got everything matching color wise as well.

Burt coming up on 270,000 so a oil change and tire rotation is on the way.
As well as a plan to ditch the topper for a softopper instead.

 

Toppers off for a little while. It's getting replaced hopefully next week.

While it's off I set about doing a couple mods I've wanted for a while. I set about setting my old fridge slide to work in the bed.

With a couple hours of cutting and trimming I was just barely able to make it fit.

It sits up and just peaks over the bed rails, which is totally fine with me.

All said and done I'm happy with the placement, and more happy to have a slide back to gain a bit of access to the fridge.

I have plans to go over the frame and paint any spots worse for wear after the last winter, I also am going to paint any exposed metal under the bed cover to prevent any rust from forming.

 

I picked up some Diode Dynamic fog lights that I hope will be close to what you have on yours.

 

From what I found it's all about finding a light that doesn't shoot too far up above your sight line. And finding a light that doesn't catch your eye sight. They should work pretty well as they are probably nearly the same as the BDs I used. I will note in the snow when you first turn them on your eye catches a lot of the snow in the air. However after a couple minutes and your eyes adjust to the light color, that's when the snow starts to not catch your eye.
