I have been doing my own version for the past year or so and I really enjoyed it. Having said that, I didn't follow it as well as I should so my results weren't the best. I also ate a HUGE surplus on lift days. I started eating lower on deficit days with good foods but towards the end I would eat shit food instead...

This guy has every meal, micro, and macro with ingredients planned out for me every step of the way, so the only way I can mess it up is if I don't follow it lol So far its much less heavy foods than before so I feel 100x lighter already lol

For example, on my bulk(ish) plan I made myself my first 2 meals were this:

    1. 4 scoops of protein shake with 2.5 cups milk, 2tbs peanut butter: 1000 cals alone
    2. 10oz chicken, 2 cups of rice with soy sauce: 890 cals

Today (lifting day) on this plan its:

    1. 2 Scoops of Hydrolyzed Whey, 2 handfuls of blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries, 3 tablespoons of all natural peanut butter with two slices of sourdough bread, 1 orange. 3g psyllium husk, 1 serving of curcuminoid supplement, vitamin D3 and Vitamin K. p60/c70/f25
    2. 7oz lean ground chicken spices but no sauce, large baked potato, pickled beats and spinach. p50/c63/f11

Macros on lift days are p262/c350/f87
Macros on off days are p270/c254/f143

I am digging the variety, and actually sitting down to eat a solid breakfast makes a huge difference for me.

Made a small change to my macro split by dropping about 20g carbs and swapping for another protein shake. This will have my daily carbs only around 130. This is my final push for being lean before I try to add some weight. I’m pretty pleased with how I look but I don’t like being this light, but since I’m already here, I want to see how lean I can get before I fatten up again

Lean bulk ftw here. I'm doing about 2800 cal's/day approx. Not a strict diet. Will know results of this in another 4 weeks give or take.

But I like the leanness. To me it's better than increasing my lifts by a lot, for now.

Yeah it sounded like your diet before was pretty boring lol chicken and rice, chicken and rice. This does seem like more variety with more micros

What is it about being light you don’t like?

I am a picky eater though and like the easiest stuff to make in bulk, so I am fine with chicken and rice all day lol

If I’m not at the gym I feel small. And some of my clothes fit too baggy now and that just messes with me mentally, like having to go an extra hole in my belt or constantly be pulling the drawstrings on my sweatpants

Thats the same issue I have. Everything got baggy to the point where I just felt sickly and people said I looked tiny.
I’ve started buying new clothes slowly and thats makes all the difference.

Nakid I feel awesome tho LOL.

Outside of that I like feeling nimble and agile like nothing is weighing me down, even if my strength isn’t where it was.

Other end of the spectrum here. Eating more than I’ve eaten in a while. Feel boated and strong. Still have about 2lbs to go. More lifting. More food.

No one has ever said I look tiny, if that happened I'd probably spiral into a depression and ask @tacopaulo if I could share his needles...

But seriously, I remember getting sick probably back in like 2013 after my first year of seriously lifting. I had put on about 15lbs and looked aight, and then lost just about all of it in a week from some stomach bug and my first day back at the gym someone said I looked small and I vowed never to lose gains like that again. It was a terrible feeling

I just looked like I was swimming in my clothes lol.
My problem is when I get sub 10% my waist gets small, making me look smaller (IMO). Thats what I dislike the most about being lean. Love everything else.

I wish I kept my core like you, but for me apparently it was mostly fat.

2020 goals are to work on that.
