I find it hard for any player thats not a "free agent" to have any leverage. Free agents get to choose what team they play for as long as they have multiple teams wanting to sign them. Especially since they have no obligations to meet. A rookie in the draft has zero leverage other than, "I dont wanna play for team A, I won't play at all."

but that is, by definition, leverage.

he can use his abilities (being a good qb) to his advantage, and go play for another team because someone will take him whether it's the bengals or not. he's said he will go to whoever pays him, he's fine going to the bengals, but he does in fact have "leverage" to not have to do what they say/want and make his own choice.

douchey, stupid, etc etc...doesn't matter. 'tis still "leverage"

Huge for both programs, we had to buy out San Jose State game that was scheduled, they bouth out SC state to make it work. And the ECU App state game that was scheduled in that stadium got tossed to the curb. Already set a calendar alert for one year out to get a hotel reservation, hoping the NFL schedules Falcons at Panthers that weekend too.

Im just glad this isn't about a Bama player. God knows this thread would be crawling if Tua had said/done something like this. My thoughts on it would be exactly the same with no rookie has leverage, but to each his own.

so technically all players draft eligible have the same level of leverage... which then cancels out all the leverage. So no one has leverage. Schrodinger's Leverage?!

I just like how boring the offseason is, that people have to start conversations like "can you believe he said he has leverage? omg becky he is so ridiculous"

There's a lot of things that make me laugh about this...
    1) Florida/UGA somehow outside top 10(both had some key departures but really they reloaded for the most part)
    2) How does a 8-5 texas magically become top 10?
    3) Didn't USC have a terrible recruiting class...now top 15 all of a sudden
    4) How many more years are they going to overhype A&M before they realize they are frauds (tough schedule bails them out every year)
