The truck is a 2016 3.5L SR5 4WD. How many here have had the timing cover leak and was it actually fixed? I don't want this to turn into a long rant however I've had nothing but problems with this truck since Jan 2016 when it was purchased new (Transmission flashes, Leaf springs, rattles in cab, clunking in suspension, bad CV axle, (2) timing cover leaks).

This second leak is just icing on the cake. The first one occurred at 37.1K and was corrected at 38.5K. I was without the truck for 8 days and not the leak has reappeared at 51.3K just 13K miles later. I'm beyond frustrated, especially with the end of my power train coming up.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did Toyota offer an extended warranty? Should I part ways with the truck? It is unnerving to have the engine out twice at under 60K miles.

I really do like the truck and keep trying to give it a chance but I'm beyond frustrated and unsure how I should proceed. On average this truck has been in the shop every 4 months (To address problems) since the day I bought it.

Sorry for your troubles, hopefully the dealer can get it fixed for good. I'd also hammer them for an extended warranty on their dime since you've had so much trouble.

No it's never left me stranded thankfully. I've always caught everything early.

Just drive it until it breaks, that’s what all the 2nd and 1st Gen owners do and they love their vehicles.
