I have searched the forum and I can not find anything about my problem...

My front brakes INTERMITTENTLY seize up with a loud bucking kind of sound when I am going forward at like 1 - 2 mph. It does not happen in reverse. It does not ever happen at speed on the road. The brakes release and "unseize" as soon as I release the brake pedal. Like if you were waitimg in line to get out of the grocery store parking lot and the brakes do this every time you moved up a space in traffic. Like I said though, it's really intermittent and I can't find a pattern to this problem.

It's like the ABS is trying to pump the brakes violently, but the fuse is pulled out. I discovered that it was missing a long while back. This is a new issue.

    Thoughts? Prayers? LoL

make sure your rear drums are adjusted properly. They should have a slight "audible" drag but no noticeable drag (2-3 free spins is fine)

Yeah, it seems to be putting extra weight on the front brakes. It's like favoring the front brakes 70-30%. That's a guess BTW.

that will make the front nosedive which will make the brake pedal feel really fucky. Try that first and let us know how out of spec they are.

Well... I can't get one of the rear wheels off because somebody at the shop cross threaded one of my lug nuts. I'll get back to you aboit the rear drum adjustment after I get it taken cate of later today.

Also, I was thinking... My front shocks are just about dead. Would worn out shocks/struts cause my front end to dive dramatically enough to hinder the front breaks while going slow?

Interesting.. when first pulling out of the garage my ‘04 would just about toss me through the windshield when I hit the brakes at the end of the driveway. Hasn’t happened in last few months and I replaced the front coilovers in January. Hmmmmm.....

Many times brake grab is due to leaking oils or fluids on the brake pad/shoe. I find this especially on the drums. Get that rear drum off and see if you have a leaking axle seal. Check to make sure all 4 corners are dry. Make sure the calipers and shoes move without binding. Good luck.
