    Okay, her ya go:

It's dark as a gravediggers asshole in there since it doesn't have windows. An inside light will be high on the priority list!

The brake light has four wires coming from it. Two black, two red. Two (one pair of black and red) were in a four pin connector, those are the brake lights. The other pair were pulled out of the connector and dangling and I haven't a clue what they do. They don't light anything when given power. Anyway I have the third brake light working so that's the important one for now.

Very cool. The other two wires were likely for a dome light. Or some third brake lights actually have a brake and running light functionality.

I would look at some led light strips. The flexible kind. They are inexpensive and easy AF to install. If you wanted to get high tech hit up @mattgecko . He specializes in bed and under hood lighting.

Edit - mine came with a dome light and a single white strip but the difference is night and day (sorry, had to)

Yeah, that's what I suspected but I couldn't get those wires to light anything using my little 9v battery with alligator clips I use to test such things. I'll mess with it more later. It could be my assumption that the other black is a ground is incorrect or that I need to put voltage to both hot wires at the same time or something.

I was thinking of the strip lights, that's a good call. Is there a constant 12v back there I could tap into? I was thinking maybe the charging wire for the tow plug that charges a breakaway box might be hot at least while the truck is running.

I might just run a wire back there from the front to use for that and a 12v socket.

So I just ordered a Decked system for my truck. So I'm selling my Roam rugged case. It's the 160L.

There are 4 holes drilled on the bottom of the case that I used to secure the box to an L-Track system. Holes are 3/8 inch. Case was still waterproof when I used it. Located in brooklyn NY and local pickup because of the size of the box. Looking for $100.

I shaved a 1/8 portion of the center latch to accommodate a weatherproof lock, lock is also included with 2 keys.

I'm also including the 2 gas struts used to keep the lid open. They are brand new, never installed

Is there a dome light in there? They might have removed it. I can't imagine it not having one now or at some point at least. Constant hot is definitely at the 7 pin, but I don't think it is at the 4 pin.

I'm thinking about leaving what's in mine now, and adding some Matt Geko lights too. White for under the hood with a switch up there. Then I want the red bed lights for inside the cap, but I want those to function two ways. I have no idea how to do this but I want a switch in the bed for them but I also want to tie them to the interior lights. I have those set up so that the front maps and rear dome come on whenever I approach the truck, open any door, or throw the overhead switch to on. What's cool about the way Toyota has those wired is that you can use any of the three lights independently too. So with that logic, I should just be able to tap into any of them and run that wire to the back. I don't care if the cab lights come on if I turn the red ones on in the bed.

A situation where this would be beneficial would be say I was camping and had to sleep back there, and wanted red lights to see, without attracting too many bugs.

I went out there again to scope out out and indeed, it was a dome light. I didn't realise the light was on the back side of the brake light and also had a google on/off switch that was switched off.

For now I just wired it up to the tail/running light lead so I can have it on ifof my lights are on. Eventually I want it wired to a pin switch so it's on whenever the rear is open, and a manual switch in the inside too.

I'm not sure how to go about what you're describing either, but good luck with it!

Yea, I am thinking about a magnetic switch for mine. So when I open the window it comes on. On my dome light, there are 4 sets of dual pins. So there is a lead with a plug, and it goes to two of the pins on one side, and then there are 4 pins on the other end of the dome and that's what feeds the led strip. What's odd is, there is a 3 way toggle switch on the dome. I'm betting it is supposed to be capable of coming on when a door is open or manually as if you were back there.

Ok, so I am trying to move some tires and wheels from Mass. to me in Md. I'm also going to move a Softopper from me to a guy that lives in Staten Island. I'm hoping to make all this happen the first weekend of next month.

If the seller of the box can get it to any of the people I might be hooking up with then I can move it farther south to someone that I am sure can get it to you. Exactly what part of Virginia?

Also, we can move this over to the NE Tacomaworld Express thread.

whatdo you guys think I could sell these limited wheels for?
They have a nice set of Michelin LTX tires with 80% tread left.
I want to throw the stock 16s back on with some 265s for now

New sets run around $1200. I say you can easily get $1000 for yours.

Well, I have some items that are going to pass by NYC and if so, the storage container could hitch a ride.
