You ended up doing the Blue to the Black and the Green to the Blue. I would have thought it would have been the other way around. Good to know. Maybe I’m not thinking straight this morning. Haha Drivers Side verses Passengers Side.

    Passenger Side
    Blue (Lock) to Red (Lock)
    Green (Unlock) to Green (Unlock)

    Drivers Side
    Blue (Lock) to Blue (Lock)
    Green (Unlock) to Black (Unlock)

Not me, that is what Gulf South Toyota installs as ‘factory installed’ (Port). Not sure if you can see in that pic, but the other is the connections for the ‘factory installed’ (Port) bed lights. Black wire goes to ground bolt to the left side of there.

We could just be on two different connectors but talking about the same wires :) mine is the IC1 Grey Connector

Sorry, I may be confusing things - the first picture you quoted is the tailgate lock. The reply quote image was referencing the bed lights they also install. Even the tailgate unit is interesting...

I thought I would add my two cents. Just installed the Pop & Lock on my 2019 Tacoma, and KJTO had the correct wiring for Driver’s Side in my situation. I had to connect the blue to blue and the green to black in order for it to work properly. I used the same connector NoOne displayed in this thread.

Trying to do this right now, got blue to blue, green to black. When everything is plugged in, all doors lock properly, but when I unlock, tailgate stays locked. All other doors work properly. Started thinking that Pop&lock is broken, and only works in one direction. But when I connected it directly, pop&lock works both ways. What gives?

By the way, I got a 2016 MT Sport, and none of the diagrams referenced in this thread apply to my vehicle. Also, I went driver side, and don't want to send things to passenger, as I ran my cables, and popped a hole.

Is it important to connect to the correct color, or to the correct pin position? My colors are mostly in different positions

Show us a picture of the connector your tapping into, since you say none of the drawings match your vehicle.

Yeah, I figured that out too late too. That will be taken care of when something actually fails in there.

    Thanks!

Can you possibly post a pic of where that connector is when it’s plugged in? I’m going off the directions and it’s having me plug in right behind the ECU. Really hard to get to.
