Cheap Chinese random name brand fans crap out quickly. Everything else will last a while with the bearing type usually determining when the fan will fail. Usually they don't really fail, they just start making an annoying amount of noise.

I like my RGB bling, I will admit that I’m slightly disappointed that the RGB on my ASRock B450 steel legend is RGB to the point of seeing literally R G and B LED’s and not exactly what I was expecting.
I’ll get a better picture later since my RX580 also has RGB whereas the GTX1050TI did not.

Blue case fan, Wraith AMD cooler set to match, and then the LED’s on the MoBo.

I keep reading the Ryzen 3600 runs warm but is in spec. I'm wondering if I should just get an upgraded cooler right of the bat?

    Something with lights.....

I couldn't tell you anything about the 3600, I have the 2600 and stepped up to the Wraith Max and ditched the Wraith stealth because I wanted a "factory" look and RGB, the Wraith Max easily cools the 2600 even with the 3.8 Ghz OC.
If you think the factory cooling is inadequate or if you think you might have the itch to upgrade go ahead and do it before you have your system 100% together, it'll make it easier.

I couldn't get this to turn out right in the few minutes I spent playing with it, the ring on the cooler matches the case fan and GPU very well.
I think there's just enough light inside the case to draw attention (and provide floor level lighting) but not over the top.

Screw lights. You need a full colour screen as stated earlier. Oh and a 360 mm radiator for all 65 watts of pure shaft you're giving all the newbs on the internet.

Streamlining. I like where your head is at. I'll toss the whole thing in my hug out back so now I'll have a monitor for my radios.

    It only makes sense.

That was a rather interesting watch. For something you would think is so simple to do it ended up being a mess. Crazy too at one point he had it using 28 cores just moving files around.

Seems like they either go quick or last awhile. Noctua is sort of the "high end" quality fans to get and they have a run time of 150,000 hours for most of them. But theres plenty of other good brands of fans too. Ive had cheap fans that came with cases running for the last 5+ years with no issues.

@m603holden Good "cheap" brands of fans are Fractal and Arctic. If you really want to spend bank look for Corsair Maglev fans, no bearing means literally no failure point lol.

I'm pissed because Fractal released a non LCD version with their upgraded lines on it right after I bought the cooler I have.

I always liked Scythe fans for the "cheap" ones. But I bought all of mine 7-10 years ago so im sure anything in that price range is pretty similar these days.

I found every five or six Scythe fans would come with a shitty bearing so I stopped using them. As in instant fails where the bearing sounds like a weed whacker so it wasn't the worst thing ever but still a pain.

First off sorry for the rant but I used to be a huge Asus fanboy. I got burned and I've seen too many people having the same experience with Asus, relying on folks who loved them ten years ago for advice, with their hardware in the last five years. I just can't read "Asus is the bestest," comments anymore without a response.

You see the release Asus put out yesterday? They fucked up building the 5700/5700XT cards and they're trying to blame AMD when AMD had nothing to do with it. They under tightened their coolers to the chips because "AMD didn't tell us the mounting force we should use." Um, aftermarket coolers aren't up to AMD or any manufacturer, there specs are up to the manufacturer. Maybe Asus should of tested their product a bit before making it for almost a year with sever overheating issues? MSI/AsRock/Powercolour have had zero issues with their aftermarket designs because they tested them, get better Asus.

Don't get me wrong, I own a Zephyrus laptop as my mobile rig and I love it so I'm not saying totally avoid Asus, just know what you're buying isn't some magical level of quality over everyone else like it might of been in 2005. That being said I refuse to use Asus hardware in my built PCs because I find their give a shit at the price levels they've set has got up and gone. Look at MSI. They completely duffed their cheaper X570 boards. Rather than cry about it they admitted they can do better and released new models in their place, some of which are now the best boards in their price categories. Asus does shit all when their products constantly under perform at their price level. The Asus Strix 2080Ti is a joke for overclocking compared to a Gaming X Trio or EVGA FTW3 and Asus asks an extra $50 for the Strix over those cards.

I wouldn't call myself a fanboy. I like the stuff I'm currently running, but I'm always wary of their newer stuff. Right about the time I bought my stuff is when people started seeing a drop in quality control.

I like their aesthetics and name, but I never buy the latest and greatest upon release (except for my Fusion Sport I bought the moment it hit the lot). I prefer to let everyone else find the fuckups first.
