I like that TacoRail by 67d. Looks great and you can slide the whole length for whatever you want up there...cool

Ok. So thanks again for all the input. I decided to get over my fear of drilling a few holes in my truck and bought a 67designs TacoRail w phone mount pack ($69). I think it’s pretty cool and you have the whole length of the rail for other accessories or just moving your mount around for different phones etc. Pretty awesome. I’m excited. Thank you to this forum for all your input. So many great people on here. Some dinks too! Not too many though. Have a good one.

I combined the Hondo vent mount with a ram mount. Incredibly rock solid....phone never rattles shifts or moves. Best mount I have ever used. Then I customized the ram mount with an old school Toyota logo. Love it.

I actually got the decal emblem as a free item they included with my order of an old school grille emblem I bought from this seller on etsy:

    https://www.etsy.com/listing/711923...3271&msclkid=9c185b659e30121e14250528e744211c

So technically I didn't buy it on its own it was included with my purchase of the above. Maybe if you check with the seller they will sell you the decal emblem separate as it is a perfect fit on the center of the ram mount. Hope that helps.

@WoodsGhost Does this mount stay in place via compression/squeeze on that portion of the dash? If it doesn't, does it slide left/right when turning? I 3D printed a piece but mine requires double sided tape. Never knew about Stiffy before.

The mount pretty much only needs gravity. There is a lip on the back side of the dash trim piece that the lip on the phone mount corresponds with.

I have never had the phone or mount come off or slide side to side even on the roughest of roads. Maybe these pics will help explain.

@WoodsGhost much appreciated! I guess recreating mine wider (& as a solid) and having additional points of contact may increase friction to keep mine in place. Minor redesign time.

Does your phone get hot in the winter with it blocking the vent like that. Seems to be all i would need to hold my phone while daily driving, but figured I would ask the question of over heating my phone

I use the cupholder to the left of the shifter. Problem solved. Even wheeling it’s there. Why do you need to see your phone while driving? Serious question. Just don’t understand

You really can't think of a reason why? I'll use it for the rare times that I need to use GPS\Waze, it's perfect for that.
