Have you been there lately?? I think the cleanup and airing out finally got em to behave!

 

I think the biggest concern/complaint, even with the people who follow the rules (ehhem....*points to me) is simply the inconsistency of application and follow through of enforcement here at TacomaWorld.

Other than that, we all realize there has to be some sort of order.

I do wonder, however, how things would work with a political thread, for all things politics. Pics, memes, jokes, banter, etc. While I understand it would have to be heavily moderated... many here can hold a conversation that is vastly contradictory while not delving into the depths of name calling and general hate.

The pic thread has cause many a ban simply due to a meme containing a picture of a politician...and thats just silly.

 

Way too much youth and testosterone with those guys. They were all good guys and helped each other and the community a lot but really got a hard on for challenging Mods. Mods even went as far as offering a private summit via “Chat with Staff” and they still all fucked it up. I mostly just lurked in there for the shitshows. Place was a ghost town last I was in there with maybe 15 posts in a day.

The AZ bs Thread(s) are historically rambunctious. There have been so many bans and thread locks for AZ bs thread(s). What number are they up to now? Last I knew it was AZ bs 5. Did someone clean them all up and smash them together?

 

I'm guessing they all went to the new forum, the one that shall not be named....Bwahahahahaha.

If I remember correctly, I posted a marginally political meme on here a couple weeks ago and @Pinay simply made it disappear. She didn’t give me shit about it but I got the message.

 

@Roll Tide consider my stance where I sit. I came to TW to help ColoradoTJ rein in the AZ BS thread when others stopped bothering. And I didn’t know most of the other mods, still don’t, other than Chris and Sean T-Texx. Things are done differently here; diff audience and age range, and such a higher number of members.
But rest assured 98% of the time potential punishments are discussed and decided as a group and other mods have discretion to change ban times.

They seem to think having a free for all is the only way to go. But when you perpetuate a toxic environment, there is no longevity.
Bob’s had sites where politics is allowed at one time and no more. It just gets riled up too much and ruins a site. I think people have a good enough time on here without it. Agree?
