As an early adopter I would expect or accept a less refined but still functional product.

Hinges falling off is not functional.

The rusty tube I could live with if supported and replaced in a timely manner.

I'm interested in talking to you about your suspension. That looks about what I'm looking for. Who did the work for you? I'm in Vancouver as well.

What is their build rate now? At 10 per week, that is two years worth of production.

10 a week and we know they pride themselves on being a ‘cheaper option,’ I guess that’s why they’re blowing the doors off competition with number of units sold. :anonymous:

    Is this thing on?

Anyone heard an update on mobile repair?

How many of the ~100-150 potentially affected have been fixed either at the factory or on the road?
    How many left to fix?

I have heard no update on a timeline or anything with mobile repair.

Anyone have a light bar on the front of their GFC? I know they make brackets for the LP6, but not sure if they can handle a 40 inch bar.

Except there aren't, radio silence there as well. If you were over there you'd see the same question was asked there.

I mocked up a RTL-S 30 to the rear with the LP6 mounts and they seemed more than capable enough.

As a response to @Borrego Taco message after weeks of no open communication.

GFC could stand to increase their communication with current customers, i.e. the people who have already proved they'll spend money with them, a quick email blast about new products available for order, things people may care about like the official warranty policy, you know, stuff. Instead they rely on the gram and a forum with 386 users, that's not even all the campers in the wild, about 500 have shipped and there are 1070 reservations on the leaderboard. Those customers are spread out all over the internet but all gave an email when the dropped their deposit.

Agreed, and I have no game in this fight. Don't own/have a deposit for a GFC.

They do argue that only the first 150 should be directly effected by the hinge issue and sent out emails to all of those people, but I do think they should have just opened it up to every owner of a GFC, period. What sucks is those people that bought one used and do not pay attention to the forum.

Idk why their product emails aren't working. They always ask people to sign up, but then never send out product emails it seems like.

As great of an overall product I think it is from a standpoint of how new it is and how quickly it grew, I think it would definitely benefit them long term to possibly slow down what I expect to be quite a profit margin with how many they're selling and develop a more robust customer support system. I just don't think they could have predicted how well their product would take off and are now stuck in a spiral of sales-only focus.
