Hahah even if I flash it the second 2.0 final is released, I have a feeling I’ll already be over 1000km.

I’ve certainly noticed a lot of quirks... gotta bury the pedal in 1st if you want any power below 3500 rpms. Hate how the stock tune neuters the power. Give me a linear throttle please!

I’ve also noticed two distinct power surges, the first around 3500rpms and the second is around 5000. Almost makes it feel “boosted” the way the power rolls on at those two spots.

That was fun for a while... until the back end would get squirrely when you didn’t want it to

    Sounds just like my '19.

Now, if you can imagine.. 04B10 ('16 M/T) was an order of magnitude worse that that. Fo real. Downright dangerous in some situations.

in 2.0 the power coming from the surge is smoothed out and shows gradually from lower rpm, well below 3500. so it's a huge improvement over that old weird surge deal.

Hey there! Dumb question but whats the difference between the 91 octane and 91 octane catted tunes? Is it that the catted tune is with dump tubes?

    Thanks.

One more: In regards to resetting learned values, can that be done by selecting "clear DTC" in PCM Flash (dongle)? Or do I need to clear it with Techstream? Thanks!

you can try whatever you like,
    not a dumb question..
I've tried most everything and by a long stretch my best combo to date is a 2.0 beta for catless dump tubes on stock cats (but my whole exhaust is custom after those).

    You’ll have to use TS

Clearing DTCs and LVs are separate functions. I don't know what is in PCM flash but do know that both can be done with TS and P5Flash.

Adding them to P5Flash was what got me to try them. I'm not sure if it was since new, the TSB tune, or OVT, but something needed to be rest on my Taco. It has been great since.

    Thanks!

Clearing DTC's isn't something I think I've ever done. Have you done it and does it help anything?

I'll have to get reacquainted with TS later today...it's been awhile. I haven't used it since I upgraded my ECU

If I'm not mistaken, DTC is Diagnostic Trouble Codes...ie the code generated when your check engine light (CEL) goes on. You only ever need to clear DTC's if your CEL has turned on. Even if your CEL illuminates then goes out (either because you repaired something or the problem self corrected), there will still be a stored code that can be deleted using that feature.

Clearing DTC will do nothing for performance.

    You're welcome.

Yes. Clearing DTCs is a common function found in all OBD tools, like a plug in scanner or apps like Torque and OBD Fusion. DTCs are generally diagnostic codes, but there is some deeper learned value to them associated with Readiness Codes. The big LV function is stored baseline operating values in the ECUs.

I did clear both DTCs and LVs when they were added to FM. They made a very real difference on my Taco. The FOB tune was a ton better, I gained 1mpg, and the computed MPGs were much closer to the hand calc value.

Not strictly performance related, but does initiate the drive cycle learning and readiness codes.

For me, I like to know that I am starting with a clean slate, esp after the first experience with the Resets. Some folks never do them, and that is okay also.
