Acworth dog owner indicted in pet's death

An Acworth woman accused of leaving her pet dog in her car for over four hours outside a Target store in the middle of summer has been indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of aggravated cruelty to animals.

Tanya Lee Kuhlman was arrested on the day of the incident, July 20, 2019, and booked into the Cobb County jail, records show. She was indicted in Cobb Superior Court on Feb. 13.

According to Acworth police, Kuhlman left her yellow Labrador mixed breed dog in the back seat of her black Toyota SUV outside the Target at 3378 Cobb Parkway in south Acworth between midday and 4:30 p.m. on July 20, 2019.

In Kuhlman’s arrest warrant, Acworth Officer Patrick Kud said he and other officers were called to the scene, where they found the dog unconscious in the back of the car, but Kuhlman couldn’t be located.

“The canine appeared in distress,” Kud said. “I made the decision to force entry and try to administer aid to the stricken animal.”

A sergeant rushed the dog to the nearest animal hospital, Lake City Animal Hospital, about 1.5 miles down Cobb Parkway, and that’s where the dog was pronounced dead, the warrant shows.

Police said Kuhlman is the registered owner of the vehicle the dog was found in, she claimed ownership of the dog when speaking with officers, and she had her name and phone number on the dog’s collar.

“Video was recovered showing the vehicle was in the parking lot for more than four hours,” police said.

Kuhlman was subject to a $10,000 bond order on the single charge of aggravated cruelty to animals, records show.

GREENVILLE, Mich. (WOOD/CNN) - Several employees at a Wendy’s location in Michigan were fired after the restaurant came under fire for online video of a young man submerged in one of the kitchen sinks.

The video shows a shirtless man in a soapy sink inside the Greenville, Michigan, restaurant’s kitchen. Another person in uniform throws something in the sink and yells, “Wash yourself.” (Source: Facebook/Greenville Matters Un-Censored/WOOD/CNN)
The TikTok video, later to a community Facebook page, was taken at Wendy’s in Greenville, Michigan.

It shows a shirtless man in a soapy sink inside the restaurant’s kitchen. Another person in uniform throws something in the sink and yells, “Wash yourself.”

The footage left some customers with a bad taste in their mouths.

“My first date with my daughter’s mother was at that Wendy’s. Do you actually think I will ever go back there?” said customer John Michael Molinares. “They should be held accountable.”

In a Wednesday statement, franchise owner Team Schostak Family Restaurants called the incident “completely unacceptable” and said everyone involved was fired right away.

It’s unclear if the young man seen in the sink was an employee.

“I brought someone here last week to eat, so I laughed at it and thought it was pretty nasty, all at the same time,” said customer Michael Guerra.

The restaurant has been thoroughly sanitized since the incident. The health department visited to evaluate the location, and no violations were reported.

So much potential. This COULD be awesome. It isn't...but it COULD BE!!

Then again, a turd's best potential exists right before it is flushed.

Dancing beds are nothing new. Judging by the bare metal, it is a work in progress and I would assume the trashed bed is the builders prototype so he can get all the cuts and reinforcements figured out before he cuts into the matching white bed. [IMG]

I understand that this *may* be a work in progress. But if it is, leave it in the shop till at LEAST you don't have tie wraps holding the lights in place.

Reminds me of an incident from a few years ago...

Passenger Decapitated in Drunken Car Crash

A drunken driver hit a telephone pole support wire that decapitated his passenger, then drove 12 miles home and slept in his bloody clothes, leaving the headless body in his truck, police said.

A neighbor walking with his young daughter Sunday morning discovered Daniel Brohm's headless corpse in the truck in John Kemper Hutcherson's driveway and called authorities, said Cpl. Dana Pierce, county police spokesman.

Officers found Hutcherson asleep inside his home. He was visibly drunk and his clothes were bloody, authorities said. They later found Brohm's severed head at the crash site.

"It's hard for one to imagine that you would drive miles from a crash site to your home, turning in various directions, and yet not know what has happened to a passenger sitting next to you," Pierce said.

Hutcherson, 21, was charged with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and failure to stop at an accident with death or injury. He was jailed on a $100,000 bond; it was unclear Monday whether he had an attorney.

Police said Hutcherson and Brohm — friends since high school — were drinking at a bar Saturday night and left after Brohm said he felt sick.

Brohm, 23, apparently was leaning out of the window when Hutcherson hit the support wire about a mile and a half from the bar.
