I just ordered this bumper along with a light bar and I'm about to get a Smittybuilt X20 synthetic waterproof winch. Which winch one did you go with and did you have to move the selenoid to the side or keep it in the middle like Body Armor shows in their sales pictures?

Has anyone seen or thought about doing a extension on this bumper in order to turn it into a full bumper? Was looking at the stage 2 the slime line bumper has and was thinking of doing something like that

Looking to get this bumper will my hidden light bar be an issue with the winch?

    It shouldn’t be a problem.

I used this guys install instructions in conjunction with instructions from body armor and did not remove the front bumper or skid plate which saved a lot of time and made it easier.

Body armor doesn’t mention it but when you move the power steering lines back towards the condenser you have to remove one other bolt on the frame that holds power steering lines on the passenger side.. easily accessed through wheel well if you remove one clip holding the mud flap in there.

I installed on my own by moving it around on a furniture dolly and then jacking it up while on dolly as seen in pics below. Worked like a charm!

With a light bar and winch installed is there an access port on the bumper to hook up the winch remote? Would you be able to take a few pictures of how you are able to access the winch?

Pop the hood and you have easy access to hook up the controller although mine is wireless but that’s where the switch is too if you want to run it wireless. You can also reach the clutch lever through the hood. Not the ideal setup if you use the winch often but if it’s for occasional use it’s not bad. It’s also well protected from theft this way.

Thanks for the explanation and for taking the time to post pictures. That was my final concern so I'm on the train, I'll be putting that bumper on with a winch (as soon as I've got some scratch).

Would anyone that has this bumper be willing to measure the light bar cutout area? I know it says it fits a 20" dual row light bar, but I already have a 22" single row id like to use. Thanks!

I just measured and the opening is indeed 20 inches. I can’t remember how far away the mounts are and I can’t see them now that it’s all mounted.

EDIT: I just zoomed in on a pic I posted earlier with my light bar and winch mounted to the bumper before it was installed on the truck and I don’t think you’d get a 22 inch bar to mount there without some modifications.

Some conflicting replies here haha. I just said screw it and pulled the trigger on the bumper last night, there were too many deals to pass up. I found one from Morris 4x4 for only $540 free shipping and no tax plus like an extra $5 off for Presidents’ Day. So, if it fits then it fits and if not I guess I’ll be in the market for a new bar. I’ll let you know what happens with it! Thanks

Hey guys just bought the BA rear bumper so next is the front. I do have a question regarding the bullbar. Can someone take a direct, same level front pic of that area for me? I have the 32" Caliraised hidden led bar in that grill area just above the bumper and in between the bullbar. So want to make sure the bullbar doesnt block that lower grill completely.

Thanks man, looks like he is running a single row. So my 2 row, the top will be blocked by the bar but bottom row is fully open to shine. Just did a test blocking the top row and there is still plenty of light displayed.
