    I got a slash 4x4 like 10 years ago and stopped messing with it for a few years then when I plugged in one of my lipos the esc and motor started smoking instantly. The lipos were all puffy so I threw them out. Got the bug again yesterday and decided to dust off the truck. The motor seems seized almost. It has resistance when turning it by hand. Like a grinding feeling. I took it apart and noticed the magnet looks cracked. Could that be causing the motor turning issue? 4ECF5233-46CF-45F9-90CF-81D25F0756C2.jpg

    You have used lipo in your setup before with no issues?
    Looks like the motor got to hot from too much juice

    Hmm, its rare that it happens but it sounds like the old lipo put to much out and the motor didnt like it.
    I run a sidewinder 3 4600k in mine. Danm thing smokes gas powered shit! Upsets the fuck out of people.

    Charged up the battery and unplugged the motor from the esc and the damn thing smoked again. So now I know it’s the esc. I emailed Traxxas to see if they’ll do anything about it. I hear they have awesome customer support. Don’t really feel like putting any money into this...I already have too many hobby’s. Guy at work offered $200 for it. May just consider it
