Any Personal Finance, or Finance in general, pro's here? Looking to get some more reading material to research the subject. I've read: Work Optional by Tanja Hester, The Automatic Millionaire By David Bach, Rich dad Poor Dad By Robert T Kiyosaki in the past year. Is there anything anyone would recommend along the same lines? Trying to consume as much info as I can and then formulate my own PF strategy.

Credit Karma has a ton of easy to digest articles about all things finance.

    Buy low, sell high.

Drive a car until it falls apart, then buy used.

    Research.

Food at home vs food on the road

Turn the lights off and the thermostat down.

    Leave TW

    Take the bus

    Avoid avocado toast.

Pull yourself up by your bootstraps

Get out there and get working.

    Inherit a trust fund.

    Something like that.

Food and drinks is one of the biggest wastes of money I see these days. My buddy complains about being broke but goes out for lunch every day of the week and hits the bars Friday and Saturday. Let’s call it $100-200 a week total. Multiply by 4 and you’ve got $400-800.

    little things add up

I can almost promise you it costs him more than that a week.

The wife and I meal plan on Sunday's to avoid doing stuff like that. We still eat out too much, probably, but we are working on it.

Between the wife and I if we go out for dinner and drinks it's going to cost us $150 for sure in an evening.

Or............ We make dinner 90% of the time and go out once a month and actually have a good time rather than having a fast food restaurant inevitably screw up our order just to then not enjoy it anyway because it tastes like shit.

Like normal, non-lizard persons, who like to enjoy time with the people they love.

There is no promise. It’s an investment. It comes with risk. That’s why you diversify.

or settle for the .25% interest you’ll get from a savings account
