I just bought it. I tried taking off a wheel that was over tighten and it didn’t budge. Torqued to the 95ft pounds and tried again and it did take it off. I would say 120 max breakaway

Finally got around to recovering my dirty headliner......

I installed an NMO mount in the roof, and added some sound deadening. Maybe it was because I was driving around for a few weeks with the headliner out, or if it was the sound deadener, but it does seem much quieter. I can hear the wind whip around the windshield wipers now.

I also ran the wires for a rear view camera monitor/mirror thingy, and a remote mount ham radio head cable for future install.

My gf found this actual leather half hide in Napa, California.

I have the Milwaukee M18 3/8 compact impact wrench.

Doesn't touch the lug nuts. Advertises 250 ft-lbs of fastening torque.

I suspect the reverse torque isn't anywhere near that.

Been contemplating getting the stubby since it's so compact and much lighter than my 1/2" high torque M18 impact.

It definitely is nice and compact though. I would buy it again. I have the M12 3/8

there’s tons of them on offer up for like 100 bucks. That’s where I got mine.

Usually the listed spec for impacts is the break (reverse) torque. Forward torque being much less. At least with air impacts any ways.

Milwaukee lists their reverse torque spec as "nutbusting torque" and forward as "fastening torque" or something like that usually

My only electric impact is my little M12 impact driver. Good for small stuff. For the bigger things I reach for my Aircat 1/2" gun. I may look into that 3/8 M12 Impact that was mentioned earlier since I dont wanna buy M18 batteries.

My M12 breaks lugs and a lot of other stuff easily.

But yeah the m18 medium is on my list eventually.

My M12 breaks my lugs easily. Were you on the high torque setting?

Huh interesting. I have the M12 ring one. Which I think is a bitch to get sockets on to haha

I use the auto shut off mode.
It says that “in reverse the tool will operate at full RPM to remove fasteners at full torque”

Yea in my experience doesn't take much for that friction ring to get all bent out of shape, then it's a pain in the ass to get sockets on or off of that thing.

I went with the detent on my 1/2” drive. Works like a charm with standard and impact sockets.
