Dealer 15k maintenance fraud

Somewhere in the fine print, it says Normal scheduled maint.
Since "severe" driving conditions are not Normal, that is their way out.

 

Lots of managers figured out that trick and a few buddies of mine were fired/written up for it. Luckily I recently changed jobs from a DRP only corporation shop. To a mom and pop type shop only doing high end cars. Way less surveys and no longer part of my bonus/income. So happy F surveys!

 

Makes perfect sense. Probably dealer discretion- and how you treat the service writer- that will help them ignore that policy.

 

Dealers suck. Avoid.

 

I can’t remember if it’s Toyota or the Chevy I just dumped, but severe was defined as short trips and stop and go traffic. Just about the norm where I live- either a mile or two a day without much warm up, or stop and go city traffic.
