Well if you really want to know

We are replacing some of the core pieces of equipment at the data center, 7706’s to be exact. I built four fiber paths between the old core and the new core so that the layer 2 connections could be brought online on the new cores. This will now allow us to plan another Maint window so we can migrate the new and old switches to the new core. There is more after that as we need to get rid of the old cores but that will require a much larger downstream impact to the network.

    Clear as mud right....:D

So after looking at the car I have an internal debate. The damage isn't too bad. I figure it may be a couple of thousand bucks to fix it right. I feel like a good push from the back side if the door and a buff will make it look acceptable though. It is a 6 year old car and going down in value at a rapid rate. If we take the cash and throw it into savings, that's a better return than we will get in 3 or 4 years when the time to sell it comes.

Glad you don't have that winch - might go after the frame!

If there was frame damage and they totalled it, I wouldn't be upset. While I don't want another note, the 7k or so they would give us fir it would be a good downpayment on a used rav 4 for my wife and the pooches.

Better ground clearance, much stronger than stock, uniball lowers, you can run 3.0 shocks, and they're dead sexy. But aside from that, no not really. I just believe that if I'm going to replace something I'd prefer to upgrade it.

Oh, that's right, I didn't update since I talked to them Monday.

I never heard back from them after I sent the textsSo Monday I stopped by at 430 to see if they had found my parts and if we could resolve things. We talked about half an hour and at the end of it I got him to agree that the work was sub-par and he got me to agree that I'm picky about the work on my truck. But he wants to make it right. He offered to put it back on the lift and have his most senior mechanic break it down and put it back. I took some time to consider it and agreed to give him the opportunity. But I will be hanging out in the bay to help and supervise.

I have been having second thoughts about that decision since I agreed to it.

I'm waiting for the new o-ring for the dust plug to arrive so I have time to call it off or just never show up.

The new dust plug seal was only $5 but the inspection hole cover from Toyota is like $130 and he said he doesn't know where it is.

Mine are popping. Sounds awful. They sound especially bad if I turn the wheel at slow/no speed and when transitioning from reverse to forward or vise versa.

Sounds like you could do a decent job of it yourself. If it were me I'd pocket the cash and fix it best I could in my own garage.

Find your patches yet? I'm happy you found a middle ground (id be different, I am much harder to please) have them check the torque on the flywheel and pressure plate bolts and if they put any thread locker on them and all that jazz. As far as the lca goes if you can find a vendor that can import them I would look into the superpro lca. It'll have to be for a 4runner but it'll fit. This is the lca I am planning to get for both my dd and race truck just haven't gotten around to it.

Like I said, I've been debating if that's the right thing to do or not since we talked. One minute I'm thinking "screw that I'll do it myself. I don't want them touching it" the next minute I'm thinking "no, they need to make it right. I paid for a job they should have done it right the first time".

We may both be in luck. I have a friend living in Australia that I don't think would mind shipping.

My passenger lca ball joint is no bueno and I can’t find turd gen after markets to replace them. Apparently Toyota changed the bushings and 2nd gen lca won’t work and they can be had for about $60 a lca but TC Camburg and Dirt Kings are tempting lol
