TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

with @TodayWasTHeDaY having had sensor/gauge issues i ask this. with two of the same gauges (temp) could a difference in wire gauge change a reading?? my engine coolant temp wiring is slightly larger than my s/c coolant line. ive noticed upon all night sitting with all temps the same my s/c temp gauge always reads 3-4* warmer. im fairly sure the s/c sensor isnt sitting in coolant when off so that may account. thoughts? just wondering if both my gauges read correctly.

 

drop in voltage variation would most likely not be from resistance in gauge wiring. Too little for the visible eye to detect on the gauge. Temp sensor tolerance, location on engine, wiring connector, gauge motor, poor ground can all cause variances though.

Damn near nothing baffles me with Toyota anymore. If there is one thing that I can say about the corporate side of the company as far as paperwork and politics it is that if it is working, change it and start over.

 

After a little search on all the 93 Mustang GT heater hoses available at O'Reilly's, none of them seem to match.

 

believe its a model hotter than the GT. cobra, i thought. could be the difference.

 

I believe they have the same motor.

 

correct. but like ours may be model specific. special edition rigs often have particular parts. dont we know.

 

Changed the preference to SVT Cobra, but the same hoses populated. There is one additional one, but highly unlikely that would fit our vehicles.

 

ah looking much closer though. too bad it wasnt easy to get some made for us. Probably not enough demand to one of some.

 

If all else fails, and our search comes to a stop, I'm thinking of getting a flex hose. They come in various sizes you can cut to length.

 

HPS is actually pretty close to me. I wonder if I can stop by and see what hoses they got that might fit. Or have them measure out and make us some.

1967 Mustang - not starting
2004 Accord (was going to be the commuter) some ass hat stole my catalytic converter. Its not worth it to buy a new one and CA makes me get some fancy one. I just straight piped it but no 02 sensor so jerks when its stopped and all sorts of funky stuff. Pretty sure I need to rig an 02 sensor somehow but no aftermarket cat option for this car due to CA low emission requirements.

I would take my Motos but I hate commuting in them.

I do, but I have a Y-pipe to finance and HPTuners to purchase....
