Well I shaved it off mid December for my wife’s birthday, and am growing it back out. Will shave it into a handlebar moostache beginning of May for an off-road event down in NC.

My lifted runner, lifted Tacoma both have ss brake hoses from Wheelers Offroad, extended length. I have a extended kit from Slee Offroad for my lifted Landcruiser but I haven't installed those yet.

Saw a post about a dude with a second gen taco braking really hard with his wheeler’s lines and busted one...so i’m a little skeptical of them now :anonymous:

I have +4” in the back and +1” in the front in stainless steel on my 4R. I think the extended fronts aren’t needed but I upgraded to stainless because I did the Tundra Brake Kit and wanted to make sure I had plenty of stopping power without the hoses swelling. I’ve not had any issues.

Hey Mason, just needed to quote you so it pops up in your inbox, but my buddy in Frostburg just found a '99 4runner w/ manual and I'll probably head up to NY to pick it up w/ him. But would you be willing to let him pick your brain about stuff for it?

Hit me up any time my friend, you have the digits. :headbang:

First suggestion is, get photos of some VERY specific areas before you make that journey. I would be more than happy to show you EXACTLY where you need to look for the major problems when it comes to 96-2002 4runners.

With all this extended brake line talk, who knows how to bleed brakes? I probably can YouTube it but I’ll probably just mess it up. I have had these extended brake lines for months sitting under my couch.

I installed this set of front ss brake hoses on a customer's 3rd gen 4runner. Then a couple months later he saw that I had red ss hoses on my trucks. He bought the same hoses I have from Wheelers then paid me to remove these and install the red ones. He told me I could keep these if I can use'em, if not he told me to throw'em away. Some people don't make sense lol.

It's a little annoying. I hate bleeding brakes. I don't have speed bleeders or a vacuum bleeder or anything that makes it easier. It's not impossible, just tedious and easier with a second set of hands. I'm about to change a caliper on my family's spare car. It's seized. Gonna have to bleed it.
