Same setup 4 channel amp sundown jvc deck

Problem when I turn the car on only 2 and 4 switch between each other. The mid on the right door cut out and the tweeter works? What causes this? When it off and on only the mid works the tweeter doesnt worm at all. I also grounded the rca in the back of the deck all on one area. Should I separate them ground the two tweeter to one area and the mids to anoth

Oi pink last week you cleaned and checked your rca cables to be corrosion free and well fitting but it seems those efforts did not fix it. Sounds like you got some serious problems up in there. Either your head unit is sorta fried, your amp is partially hosed, your speaker wires are loose or sometimes shorted or discontinuous somewhere, maybe your speakers got a funk on, or maybe something is torqued with your overall wiring that feeds the system. You gotta troubleshoot that stuff top to bottom, start to finish, one piece at a time. With your 3900+ posts on here i’m starting to wonder if they are all related to trying to pull sound out of this audio system once a week.

Also, do you have active or passive crossovers for your door speakers? When you smack a speaker or the dash when a driver is out, does it help?

Full active system.. I just changed the rca out too... noo with hitting the speakers or headunit

Also like I said does that make a difference grounding all 4 rca on the back of the headunit or should I separate them?

The grounds are all common on RCA cables so you can ground them all together.

Also, important question. Is 808 referring to the area code or the drum machine?

If I had all these problems I’d prob start by removing the amp and testing it with a different source and speakers etc.

Is this due to a bad active crossover? This system is 4 channels but your mids are separate from your tweeters and you only have 2 mids 2 tweeters total, correct?

I see, you mean with ignition on engine off your right side mid works and not the tweeter. But when your ignition is on and engine is on only your tweeter works but not the mid on the right side? Left side all good, no problems? I tryna help the mainland guys understand.

Just having the engine on vs. off shouldn’t change anything electrical if your battery is reasonably good. Is it possible the vibration from running the engine causes this? Does it matter how fast the engine is revving? If so maybe something is loose on one of the boards in the electronics of the active crossover. What happens if you switch the crossover mid and high left output to input into the right side amplifier input RCA cables and vice-versa? If this switches the problem to the other side, than the crossover would be bad.

What is the faceplate loose connection? Can you just solder it to fix it? Maybe post a pic.
