    Shit we always deployed with so many kits each platoon had it’s on MILVAN. Mine detectors, demo sets, kits for digging and placing road creators, kits for marking mine fields, cammo nets, breaching kits to include broco torches (exothermic torch), etc... just enough room for each of us to bring a foot locker of nonsense.

    Seabag FTW. Nice narrow straps to cut into your shoulders and no rigidity so everything inside was wrinkled and smashed. Made it really easy to dump out.

    Gotta admit, I always just traveled with a giant roller duffel. A set of ODUs, boots, a ton of coveralls, and some civies and relax wear. And a few basic work supplies in case whatever site I was at was slow in showing up with things.

    Finally separated from this command, 9 months of dealing with the worst the navy has to offer was enough. My favorite part was the five week deployment where someone in medical goofed up paperwork and I had to fly back to Norfolk from Djibouti for simple psych eval.

    TacomaWorld, we have two unclaimed veterans, William Garr Boyd and Joell Goerndt, that have recently passed away. They were United States Marine Corps and United States Air Force veterans, respectively. Unfortunately, no friends or family could be located.

    Services for both will be held this Thursday, February 20th at 1130 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920
