shouldn’t be hard at all. It’s the same process as taking the first one out, just in reverse and with a new cross member and a tcase bolted to it.

Placed the order last night for all the various nuts, bolts, seals, crush washers etc for the front end. Transmission is currently at transmission world getting serviced and inspected for gtg status it was delivered yesterday by freight. Hopefully my transfer case will be here in the next day or two. Trying to track freight is harder than Usps. I might have f’d up and got a transfer case without the manual shifter but I won’t know until it gets here.

Talked to the driveline shop today about the rear drive shaft and what it’s going to take to cut it down and put a flange on it. Also going to put a new carrier bearing while it’s there. and get new u joints put in.

Hubs are sitting in the garage from 4 or 5 years ago when I originally started this crap. No front drive shaft yet. Still sourcing one. And sent rst an email about the cross member at lunch. Hopefully they have one in stock and can get it out ASAP but my hopes aren’t high. The plan is to have all this done by summer. Hopefully shortly after you all go to lbl and Kurt has time to recuperate from that. Also going to go ahead and stock up on fluids. I’m thinking I’ll need coolant, transmission, and diff fluid and I’ll be good to go. Also have to go buy a transmission jack. But I’ll probably get a cheap on at harbor freight since it will hopefully only be used once or twice.

oh and cv’s are on their way too as well as transmission mount.

who’s doing your driveshafts? Post trailer co. Built mine for my old truck and did a killer job for A pretty good price. Think it was like $300 for a new carrier bearing and him to cut into it and add “the biggest slip yoke that will fit” and then rebalance.

I can honestly say though, I’m glad I didn’t end up going down this route with my old truck.

im not having my drive shaft done. I’m using the driveshaft out of a 4wd. I’ve confirmed with a few people they did it and didn’t have to cut or rebalance. Because I’m using oem parts and a pre fabbed crossmember made for this it’s good to go

Anyone have an idea of roughly what our transmissions weigh? The jacks come in weight rating from 400-600-800-1000 lbs but they get much bigger the higher the weight. And I don’t think we’ll be able to fit the 1000 lb under the truck.
