Playing soccer and lacrosse through college for sure helped keep a solid cardio base. Like riding a bike. I brought it up heart rate earlier, it’s crazy how it can stay low with little to no cardio. Proper diet, training, and rest/reducing stress all play a big role.

A perfect deadlift form is actually low key hard and if you say it isn’t then I need video of you for proof. I’m trying stupid hard and light weight to get this perfect but my lower back still slightly rounds. Frustrating as fuck

It's gonna round at some point and that isn't always a sign of "bad form"

How much round we talking? Like off the bottom of the pull already looking like a dog taking a shit? Or just a slight round near lockout?

Is this rounded? This is around 65% from both angles. Big key is keeping your back and lats tight and retracted.

I like to sit back a little lower and keep my back straight, load my hamstrings, then spring up and drive my legs into the floor. Regardless of weight my back very rarely changes from these angles.

I’ll DM ya on IG. I posted in Kalle’s FB group as well asking for advice. Some say don’t sit back too far. Some say neutral head. It’s not bad like hurt myself bad but it could be better. I did a good bit of good mornings and stretches to “activate” the hammies but I just don’t feel them as good as I’d like. It may be a weak/tight then and I just gotta keep pushing until I build em. Idk. I’m trying to get this down perfect

I’m pretty excited about the progress this month, longer workouts on average, more calories burned per workout on average, I’m also on track to hit 10K calories burned in workouts this month.

Workout tonight felt great, 4x12 for everything on the list except for the bike.

You kneel down pretty low due to your height. I do as well. I’ve had some say don’t kneel down too far. Is there such a thing in your opinion?

I try my best to activate the hammies but either mine are tight or weak. Travis gave me some advice yesterday that I’m gonna try out next week

Eh. I was just making a point that everyone will look different. There is going to be some sort of rounding of the thoracic with everyone, just as long as it isnt the U shaped you see noobs pulling with while their legs are straight. See attached

I get low like that on purpose. I straighten my legs up and stretch them then sit down low and spring up. It helps me focus on the leg drive off the ground.

But again, that's just me. I know people who lift more than me and damn near do stiff leg lol

Put your damn head down. Ugh that is so painful to watch. Looks like my dumbass years ago. Keep a nuetral head position, idc what those fucking morons say about how it "helps" - nah enjoy some spinal issues later in life.

I am not very low due to arm length. Back does most of the work too for me. I have videos, but you need to click picture to watch. I am too lazy to upload to youtube.

500 below when I was right around 207#

I like getting low to activate my hips and glutes. After all it is a LEG exercise.

That is true we are all different. You aren’t doing to DL like me, fuck you’re like a foot taller lol.

Lol that's why my advice really is more of "what works for me". Not many are my height, but I also have very long legs in relation to my body so it makes my deadlift different than most.

“So painful to watttcchhh” , hoe.. that’s why I was asking for advice  it’s almost there. It ain’t stupid rounded but it still is a little. I’ll try the head down thing next week or maybe on some lighter weight tomorrow after workout. Everything else looks about right tho, no?

I feel like I have pretty good deadlift form. I have to start with my butt a little higher than I used to because my ass would fly up first. Instead of excess movement, I just start higher so my body is in its most mechanically advantageous position. I feel the movement all the way up the backside of my body. From my glutes to my traps. If my traps aren’t at least a little sore after DL day, I know I didn’t activate them and push my chest out enough.

    Just the neck was painful.

Your back looks fine. I can't say much more since we need more angles. Does the bar touch your shins all the way up? What's your hand position, width, grip... Same with feet, width, position?

    How is breathing?

    @weldertaco

Also, if you aren't using straps now you should probably start. Train how you'll compete
