I sold the truck a year ago, but up until then it was still riding great. Went through everything I asked it too. I didn't use their UCAs though... I was using LR UCAs. I also didn't do the diff drop as it's been proven it doesn't work for our trucks that well.

Plenty of friends on the forum. And tundras.com doesn't have the same kind of community. I've been on this forum for 10 years

Considering throwing these on my truck. I was all set on 6112 and 5160's but visited my local off-road shop that was totally sold on Ironman foamcell's. He showed me his truck (along with another guy who worked at the shop) and both run ironman's. They said for overlanding you can't beat them for the price, both made multiple comments on ride quality which they said was superior to the Bilstein's.

Seriously considering doing these over the Bilstein setup.

Let us know how it works out. Seems like an exciting new brand, but no consumer reviews to really endorse it. I don't love my Bilstein set-up, personally. I think it rides way too stiff. Isn't the point of a suspension to keep the truck grounded and make the ride soft?

There are actually a ton of reviews, but you won't find them for the Tacoma as much. IM4x4 (and MetalTech4x4... cant seem to tag them @MT4x4) are more into the LC scene and you will see them used a ton on those.

One of the guys at the shop was running a LC and the other had a 4-Runner. I had them quote out 6112/5160's, Ironman Foamcell's, and Fox 2.5 Coilovers. Obviously Fox's had the highest cost, but they both said they'd run the Ironman's out of the three. They seemed to be super sold on them, one guy said his girlfriend used to complain all the time about this bilstein setup. Since he put the Foamcell's on she's made multiple comments about ride quality (which he has noticed too). He said they air'd tires down and were driving 40-50+mph in Moab this summer and the ride quality couldn't of been better.

I'm planning on going with this setup, I'll report back after the build.

Hit up ironman4x4america.com for any deals. Also check their FB and IG pages as they often have huge discounts. I think they had 400 off during Black Friday/Christmas deals.

Appreciate the info, the shop is quoting $2550 out the door installed, aligned, etc. Lift kit looks to run about $1900ish online. Installation is still giong to run $500-$700 depending on the shop so the $2550 quote doesn't look bad to me.

Well, I'm all but sold. The Land Cruiser guys seem to be raving about their kits and the few good words from the users here seem to support them.

This kit seems to match all of the qualities I'm looking for, albeit at a slightly higher lift than I wanted, but I can live with that.

FYI, any time you have the lighter engine you will see more lift than a 3.5 or 4.0. With the FCP you can adjust them down a bit in the front at least.

    FCP?

I guess hoping for 2" of lift will be unrealistic then. I do have plans for an IFS skid and eventually a slimline bumper.

FCP = Foam Cell Pro. They are adjustable. When you purchase/who you purchase through should ask you what kind of lift you are looking for and what vehicle/engine and they will set it up to the lift you want. 2" should be doable. If you don't want more, don't do the foam cell and do the original IM4x4 lift kit.

I can live with a higher lift if I have to as this kit really seems to check a lot of my boxes. UCA's, diff drops etc do not seem as daunting as they once were to me.

Truck is in the shop right now (dropped it off yesterday morning), it'll be done by this afternoon. I'll give a report back on the foam cell's after I put some miles on them. Heading up to the mountains to go skiing this week-end, should have a good idea of performance after this trip!

Which package did you go with? Pros? Comfort/Performance/Constant Load?

How much did it ring you with/without install?
