Good point, Bilstein talks up their lifetime warranty hard. Another good reason to buy from a trusted retailer like Headstrong, etc. what can it hurt to ask them for a lil help?

At least if someone asks I can say I blew up my BILSTEIN’s, so it’s a warranted purchase lol.

I know you found out the shock is toast but I'm still wondering if that SPC ball joint got rotated when it got knocked loose like you said...if you tightened it back down with it rotated in a different position than it was before then you're going to have a whack alignment on that side. I knocked my SPC ball joint loose on a trail once and it cause the ball joint to slide inward all the way so that my camber was wayyyy off. Didn't rotate itself though. Anyway that could be a part of your problem aside from the shock issue. Compare it to the orientation of the ball joint on the other side, should be the same.

It's worth it to check the torque on the SPC top nut every once in awhile if you're hard on your truck, if it's any less than 150 ft/lbs it'll come loose

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
    Called it. :D

Don't know how you value your time OP, but the amount of time to try to get it warrantied, and install another 5100 is not worth it to end up with the same shitty shocks IMO. Next one will do the same thing, or you'll bend a shaft, or you'll break the bottom mount off, etc.

IMO, buy a proper shock and move on.

The joint didn’t rotate, but it did pinch the boot so I’ll probably just replace it. I think I’ll just torque them before any major trail, don’t want that happening again lol.

I’ll shoot them an email and if it’s a hassle I’ll leave it be. Now I gotta see what route I go with the shocks, been eyeballing fox 2.5s.

I would try to get warrantied and sell them. Probably easier to sell 4 shocks instead of 3, assuming rears too. Seems like potential free money. Could even sell them cheap to move quick. Or end up sitting in the garage for months. Hard to say. Worth a quick email to find out.Clearly these shocks aren't up to task for OP.

This. Get it warranted, sell the complete set to recoup $ you spend on something better.
