The Navy has Gary Lee Ridgeway and Marines have Andrew Urdiales. If we’re talking over achievers.

Army - Son of Sam - 6 confirmed, more likely.
Navy - Gary Ridgway (Green River Killer) - 49 confirmed
    Army - Dahmer - 15 confirmed
Army - Candy Man - at least 28 boys
USAF - Randy Steven Kraft - 16 confirmed, 51 likely

Just a few of them I could pull up.

lol I just did a couple off the top of my head to fire back.

lol right. I’m sure it could be a VERY long list if we looked up any serial killers by branch.

Could be fun in the “what do you do for a living” thread though. Just quote anyone’s posted job and give a name.

Well yeah... to an extent. If we want to compare international dicks, H.H. Holmes was America’s first and his known numbers are WAY lower then the possible numbers. Dude had a murder hotel during the worlds fair.

Also have the werewolf, Albert Fish. He gets points for being so disturbing. Primarily cannibalized children in the 20s. Took me a min to remember the dudes name.

Of course Columbia has us all beat with the top two. The Beast and The Monster of the Andes. Over 100 confirmed and possible 300+.

Third world countries are at a distinct advantage.

My wife has been watching too many of the serial killer documentaries/shows about them. Wasn't hard to remember who was prior military and who killed lots of people.

That’s why all your big numbers come from third world countries and prior to the ViCAP (violent crimes database) that was largely approved because of Bundy, who was also very Lector-esque in his help tracking down Green River.

My dad donates to Wounded Warrior Project, and I really want to as well...

I really wanted want one of those WWP stickers for my back window as well, but I can’t seem to find one on the official site. It goes without saying that I’d happily purchase a sticker if the proceeds went to WWP, but the stickers I’ve found online seem to be offered by third parties! I’m guessing I will really have no idea where the money is actually going...?

No, don’t. Not sure if they got their shit together but he upper level executives were pretty careless with personal spending (of WWP funds), to say the least.

When I retired, I joined as a “wounded warrior,” I live in the biggest city in the state and there is not one available event, get together or whatever within less then almost 2 hours drive. It started out good, but there is a reason they have all but evaporated away.

Thanks for the info! I honestly don't even know if my dad really donates to them anymore...

Nonprofit watchdog “Charity Navigator” says Wounded Warrior Project spends just 60 percent of its budget on veterans.

Unfortunately, that's not the worst I've heard...

The Travis Manion Foundation in my area is one of the better ones in my opinion; I had a Manion magnet on the back of my truck for the longest time, but it got worn out and faded from years of exposure to the elements :(

Briefly looked for some updates. Looks like after the scandal, they fired a bunch of execs and it’s up to 72% now.

It’s not the worst for a nonprofit but still not great by any means. I “think,” (haven’t researched much) DAV is generally pretty decent. Need to look at that one now that I’m curious though.
