My wife likes to discuss financial purchases. I think it's a woman thing. I tell her that l don't care, if you want it buy it. She's not one to buy things frivolously. So if she wants it, "she really wants it"!! I'm the same way.
She thinks the same about me. Since we've been together I've had a 4 new pickups, 2 new cars, a 69 Pontiac Grand Prix and an 80 Firebird. If l can afford it, l buy it!

When we moved here l had one condition, and so did she. She wanted a pool and l wanted a truck. Neither was negotiable. She got her pool and l got my truck.

I have used this phrase before and I know a LOT of people that have. 9 times out of 10 it generally means you are spending an amount of money that you would like to think about before committing to. For me that is anything above 1k$. Below that and I dont generally worry about it....but we all have a pain threshold where we start to do a double take.

The other phrase l hear a lot from other guy's wives is "We'll talk about it later".
That's just a polite way for the wives to say later "The answer is no".

I could buy 20 new Tacomas for what it would cost to get a new wife. My wife is perfect the way she is.

I didn't tell the dude to run himself rampant and to put his needs on the backburner trying to please his wife. If you don't want your significant other's opinion on a purchase, that's fine too. My point was that if one at least runs that shit by said significant other, instead of just showing up with a new vehicle, there's a better chance of them being okay with the purchase, rather than opposing it.

I'm sure you're a married guy that's just a blast to hang around; I'm just doing marriage wrong.
