I put on some 5100s on top notch with stock coils. I am going to get some new coils that offer 2.5” lift and set the shocks on bottom notch. Hoping to keep my current ride height. That’s how it should work out right? Any suggestions on coils? I’ve heard ome coils sag sooner than most, who makes coils that stay close to their advertised height?

No one does. All springs sag at least a little. That just the property of the metal.

You're right about putting the 5100s back to the stock setting with your new coils.

Is there a better option as far as sagging goes?

I don't know where you've read that OME coils "sag", but that's not a complaint I've ever really heard. Vast majority of people are really happy with them.

Usually what I see is that the springs (when new) are sometimes TOO high, then settle in to the advertised height. That's more typical of the rear leafs, though. I don't really hear much, if any complaints about the coils sagging.

They will "settle", but I doubt it's enough to notice unless you're the type that uses a tape measure on everything. If that's the case, I suggest putting the tape measure down for a while.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I ran these on my 5100s until I changed over to coil overs. I ran them before I installed my tube bumper and winch... and I ran them for a while after I installed my tube bumper and winch. I liked how they rode before and after the added weight. Some people say they run too stiff. I disagree... and they will 100%, absolutely, will not be as stiff as what you are running now.

The Eibach springs have the highest rated spring rate I found for 1st Gen (compatible with 5100s) so they are least likely to sag.

Mine didn't sag at all till I added bumper, winch, 2nd battery, and 1/4 skid plates to the front of my truck.

(and additionally... we just installed my old 5100s with the Eibach springs on my son's 4runner... and they still ride nice, he has no added weight... yet)

I'd contact @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc they'll take care of you.

This is exactly what I want. I figure if I get them to assemble them, when I swap the whole assembly out, I can sell the ones that came out (w/ spacers)on Craigslist .

What does it cost for assembly? You might save some money by putting the springs on yourself, it’s pretty simple. You can borrow the spring compressor from most parts shops

True but I have been told the loaners or Harbor Freight ones don’t grab our coils very well...besides, I would need the tophats anyway....

The coil will initially provide more lift then advertised, then sag down to what the manufacturer states. My OME coils provided the exact amount of lift they advertised online. My OME 880's were 2.25"-ish at first, then went down to 1.75", which is spot on for a 4 cylinder.

So 880’s at bottom slot will get me to where I am with I’m assuming factory coils w/ 1” or so spacers. Correct? I’d call Wheelers but I get terrible phone signal here and they don’t have a contact us feature on their website. Thank you

I have OME 888 coils and they give me about 2.5" of lift. The person to ask about your question is Marie at @HeadStrong Off-Road

With a 2.7 and original bumper? Does it ride like a excavator? I have roughly 1” spacers in there so I imagine I only need the 880’s giving me 2”

I have the regular bumper but I have a Group 31 AGM battery that weighs quite a bit more than the original battery. I love the ride. It's slightly firmer than the stock suspension but I love the stability.

He has a 3rd gen lol, you definitely don't want to put 888 coils on your first gen
