Yes, I meant starting close by your area to see what is available since you need to show up FAST! Then widen your search based on results and time you have to dedicate to shopping.

Check all sites too to find where folks are posting in your area and to find the best deals - craigslist, offerup, letgo, and the normal car sales sites (autotrader, guru, carsforsale,) religiously... I my area there are dealerships that realize these trucks sell like hot cakes, and they will find a nice one but ask for the high price tags. Also ebay sellers do this and will even ship to you.. but you pay a premium for that service of course.

Oh yeah and pray to the Tacoma gods as well and treat your current Tacoma with love for karma points!!

Little late to the party with the manual vs ADD. In my experience the manual axle is about as strong as a toothpick. Mine broke behind the spline but where the needle bearing is, wreaking havok on the bearing and brass bushings (can't buy just these). In the end its easier and cheaper to replace a ADD axle. Not to mention how fun it is keeping sand out of the grease in a manual hub when on the trail.

    2lo is entertaining though.

I was under the impression when you break a manual CV axle you just unlock it and carry on, not the case with these.

Bummed my 3/8 drive Milwaukee lasted about 4 years. Acts as if the trigger is always partially engaged so I can't change direction without unplugging the battery. It did torque my lugs to right around 85ftlbs though .

All this talk about ADD vs Manual hubs is making me want to convert to ADD for the strength since I have a front locker now :anonymous:
Having my hub blow apart sounds terrible trying to fix on the trail.

I definitely would. This one only lasted maybe a day after my alignment before it cut through, barely contacting the coil at some point in suspension travel.
Luckily I caught it before it slung grease all over amd made a huge mess. So ill take the good with the bad

Sure. The other pieces of the spark plug are inside the cylinder or embedded into the piston and/or cylinder wall just like my friends Honda Element.

Happened to my buddy’s V6 Tacoma within a month of putting brand new NGK’s in it. Cost him $1,600 to have the head pulled and fixed. It started knocking and it was too late.

Polished headlights, wanting a simple retrofit now. Light output of the stock lamps is pretty poop.

Thinking of plastidipping the chrome stuff (bumper/grill insert/rear bumper). Fernandos black grill insert looks dandy AF.

    Good lookin
On the lights, only two options in my book, the high wattage stock replacements like Osram Night Breakers, GE Megawatt (I think is the name?) like one of those OR a proper HID retrofit with projectors, like you're saying.

Replaced my starter yesterday. Wasn’t too bad getting it out and in. But bolting it back in after was hard!
