i hope this work.. i could only fish 5 out 6.. I'm sorry, but they were in a very stinky garbage can... I could only hold my breath for a short time! As you can see.. Denso and NGK.. they were way over the .60 mark.. almost .70!!!

Thanks for the pics. The gap is obviously on the large side. The color looks good, no oil or carbon which should make you happy at 160. Maybe you could of regapped them for another 160,000. Thanks for the dumpster diving. A good long shower should take care of the stink.

My bad, forgot the sarcastic icon.:rolleyes:
It is surprising that it was still running w/o any obvious problems or misses.

From what my friends and I have gathered, it seems that the driver side of the engine doesnt require the same resistance as the passenger side to have reliable spark. The NGK's are a less expensive plug, and we think Toyota does this to save a few cents per plug. May not sound like alot of savings, but being as they do this on all the V6 (Tacomas) since the 3.4, the savings would be significant. ALso, it can apease 2 suppliers, without showing favortisim to one or the other. BUT....Thats just our speculations.

Sounds logical. Millions of pennies add up after a while. Where you or I would gladly pay a little more for quality they don't look at it that way. Thanks for the reply.

Just my 2 cents on that thought. I was wondering if those heads were made at two different plants and than shipped to the assembly plant.. One plant used NGK and the other one used Denso..

No0pe. From what I cant gather, they are made at the same plant the engine is made at.

I can not believe you had to endure this kind of mierda with the dealership. I would be happy to sell you the plugs if it was me (make money for the dealer). If you had another dealer, you should have left this idiot while he was getting those plugs. As for dealers, watch out since some tend to jack the prices up. One dealer wanted almost 6 Americans per plug while another one just 12 miles from the house wanted about 3 and a quarter for each. Guess where I went?

Changed my plugs over the weekend and everything went well! The old ones were in pretty good shape. I don't know how long they were in before I bought the vehicle but I had put 60,000 on them myself and they looked in fair shape. Will post pix later of them and see what some of you think.
