which mount did you use for prinsu 40" light bar from caliraised.

ive installed the caliraised 42" single row light bar to my prinsu roof rack using the smaller of the 2 supplied brackets.
i love the way the smaller bracket makes the light bar flush on the wind deflector. i mounted it to the wind deflector and tilted the light bar as best i could straight ahead. but its so close to the deflector that it touches and i can only get it to tilt forward in such a way that the spot light focuses just above the hood. so, which bracket did you all use to mount your light bar and able to get it to focus far ahead as opposed to the dirt right in front of the hood??

 

Im not sure on the cali raised by try flipping the bracket and mounting to the lower crossbar. I can take a picture of mine. I just have an ebay one on their now but it threw me for a loop at first but was able to use the generic one they supplied to mount it.

 

thanks man, i watched a ton of videos on youtube to see how others did it. max powells method of mounting to the wind deflector and how he had the bracket facing was exactly how i did it. but he didn't show where the beam ended up. i didnt find out until the evening after i mounted it since i did it in the day and outside.

thank you for replying!!! so i cant get the pic to upload but you sent me 2 style brackets, the smaller one and a slightly larger one. i used the smaller one. and then used the nuts in the bigger brackets package to mount to my wind deflector support bar. the bar sits flush on the wind deflector facing forward. but since the bracket is small and the light rests on the wind deflector in such a way that it cant be moved very much up or down. i was hoping your instagram or website would have better pictures of which one to use and how to mount it....

 

That sounds like how mine is setup. There is not too much movement needed once its setup.

 

sure, i like that too, however my bar is the spot beam, and the spot focuses a little too low for me, its literally on the dirt just in front of the hood. is that where you have your beam? id prefer it to be a few degrees up, to cast light down the trail further so when I'm driving and looking ahead i can see what's coming up. not like I'm going very fast but i thought that is the ideal spot to focus.

 

I may have a combo up top right now. Was looking at swapping to a spot but I would thin you should be able to move up but not down. Even micro adjustments will raise it a good amount. I can grab some photos later. Its really close to the bar but should have some micro adjustments to it. The spot should be pointed far out thats what its for. Then combo it with a combo and driving lights so you get the near and far points. Best lighting is lighting from several sources. Ideally I will have Spot/Combo/Driving/Flood to cover the near and far points.

 

Here are the brackets that should be used. But when you get a chance snap that photo and we can take a lot.

ive got the baja designs fog light kit as well as the caliraised light bar. it fills the field of view pretty well, near and far are covered now, just need the beam up a few degrees without it standing up and away from the wind deflector which i don't want it to do.

 

dude, thank you!!! shitballs, i used the other smaller ones, lol. ok, so i guess i have more work to do, thank god i left the connector and just bundled the wires up with zip tie to the cross bar. so, is this bracket then mounted to the wind deflector as well?

 

BTW, in case anyone cared or was wondering, this light bar puts out an amazing amount of light. i don't have another light bar as reference, but compared to my baja design foglight this thing puts out a laser beam.
